This is a riveting interview! The gal was amazing. It was so good how she was able to multitask between her cell phone and asking questions. She should have her own television show!

I ran an RD fanpage on Facebook for a while before they got back together. Took it down and advised the members to follow them when the band got their own profile as I didn't want to draw attention away from them. As Leigh alluded to, getting the word out and expanding the fanbase is hard enough as it is. Was happy to finally see them at the Cluny on their winter 2012 tour.

I'd love to interview Chris Ousey to ask him many questions about Heartland's songs and tell him about the music videos I've made. Even ask him about parts of lyrics 'cause they're hard to transcribe into subtitles. haha

The reason why they didn't hit the big time is because Schenker didn't want to be a rock star. He got to a point in his career around '78 when he was happy at that level. Hence the tensions with Mogg who was always pushing him to play more shows when he was burned out. He needed a break and it came after Strangers In The Night an apt title considering the circumstances. Paul Chapman came to the rescue and they made 4 solid albums with him but the momentum Schenker created was gone and so too the public image. Lonely Heart was a top 20 hit and brought them on TOTP and Mechanix was their highest charting album at 8 in the UK charts but they faded fast after that and stayed a cult band which continued making good albums and touring but the ship had sailed by then.

I reckon 95% of people going through airports, really hate them, I know I do, and i used to work at one. Nothing worse than being stuck in a horrible place for 3-4 hrs before your flight,with people you don`t know,and don`t want to know. Hiring a private jet is the answer, but very pricey.

Legendary Brian Tatler. I saw Diamond Head in 2006. Metallica are great but in my humble opinion the greatest heavy metal band is Judas Priest.

Keith Scott needs to release a soundtrack of all the songs he made for the "Highlander" series of the 90's. It's sad I can't buy them anywhere.
@lindalee1247 Жыл бұрын
With 2/5 of the best lineup of UFO dead it seems so sad that this band never did achieve the kind of success they deserved. But I wouldn't blame Pete or Phil for that. Nope, it was flaky Schenker and his attitude and unprofessionalism that caused UFO to not reach that type of success. People brag on Chapman, but if he was THAT good UFO wouldn't have suffered so miserably when Schenker left. People didn't want to see Chapman and a lot of people just weren't interested in UFO after Michael left. Even when they got together in the 90's they couldn't keep it together because of him. As for Pete, I'm surprised he lived as long as he did when you consider what he did to himself in the mid 90's and early 00's with the heroin and other drugs.
@colonelhogan1827 Жыл бұрын
Well, how far do you think they wouldve gotten with Mick Bolton? Michael is who made that band any good. Phil bullying him is what ruined it. After 5 years, you'd think they would know what buttons not to press. I'm sure Michael was no angel. But, he did earn some of the privileges he wanted. Had they been more respectful to him (Phil in particular), things couldve turned out better.
