love this message and delivery. a small word of encouragement from inner voice, however seemingly minuscule the thing is, is a small pebble in a pond. we do beat ourselves up most of the time, which is sad. keep up the great content XD

What a load of nonsense. "I don't know" is incredibly powerful. Too many problems are caused by people pretending they have the answers when they don't. It also leads to another powerful phrase "let's find out". Jumping to conclusions without evidence leads to all sorts of insanity that charletons sell to the gullible. Admitting you don't know is the fist step to finding out.

I have tried hypnosis, several times, unsuccessfully attempting to curb my habitual procrastination behavior, driven predominatly by fears of not getting it right & other trauma based fears, I have had much success with hypnosis giving up smokes, joints and alcohol and yet my procrastination remains! Historically, I blamed my lack of action/direction on my drug habits but I gave those up 25 years ago!!!! I have tried journalling, and mediation and ironically I'm a disaplined person, I went vegan 8 years back, overnight, I keep fit, I'm self employed & the only debt I have is a low mortgage. I understand the cost, emotionally and experientially of not following my dreams and still I fail to jump and take a risk, following my ideas/dreams !!!! Thanks for your work.
@Clarachorley10 ай бұрын
Your message really touched my heart. I had a dream that took me so long to move towards, they're the ones we mustn't give up on. You've shown yourself that you Can. And I'm sure each of those changes required more patience, perseverance and motivation than you thought you had. Maybe "jumping" could be replaced with something that feels less risky to the more vulnerable parts of you. Choose one dream, and move slowly, methodically towards it - maybe slower than you want. We're societally seduced into taking big leaps (men especially), but for most of us this doesn't work. You got this. You've already got the proof.
@jonbarlow354210 ай бұрын
Thanks Clara, I like your insight and I intuitively recognize the wisdom in your ideas. The notion of slowly & methodically moving towards my dreams feels right. Cheers Clara. @@Clarachorley

That's very good advice and straight to the point. I've just had a discussion with a friend yesterday about how everybody has multiple personalities and how to switch your currently dominant archetype with a preferred one that's already within, so it kinda resonated. Thank you! 🧡
@Clarachorley10 ай бұрын
I'm happy this resonated, and it sounds like you found a useful tool. There's also a neutral, wise self who sort of oversees all parts - this can be helpful to connect with.

I've already tried this. People inside as well as outside the group have absolutely no knowledge about me or anything else to give useful advice. Most people give advice or suggestions just for the heck of it without even thinking. It may make one feel better if they just listen without giving advice, but that's it. It'll only make you feel better. The people I've come across won't give me useful advice. I appreciate you for coming straight to the point in this video.

It's true - finding the right kind of support isn't easy. But it is worth persevering. Your experience is very very common, too common. Don't give up.

I really enjoyed using this video as a journal prompt today as I consider manifesting a move and a job change! I learned that I have some of each of these fears, but all three have clear answers for me: 1. What if I really want this? Can I really have it? Moving towards it is joyful enough to keep going even if I don't arrive. It feels purposeful. 2. Can I handle the changes I have to make? Yes, because I've done it twice before with no regrets after settling in, but this time I am older. I think wanting to see this new version of my life is a stronger pull than the fear of getting it. 3. Will I lose who matters most to me? This is the scariest one for me! Thanks for mentioning self-identity. That's part of it. I will be closer to kids and gradkids but farther from best friends and close family. All of us would have to travel differently and plan ahead to invest in our relationships. It feels good to write down how I would need to change to keep investing in my dearest ones. Thank you for sharing the questions and your bravery!
