This is so stupid, you can’t tell your body not to burn muscle, it burns both fat and muscle at the same rate!
@personaltraining14 күн бұрын
You are half correct, you can't tell your body not to burn muscle, but fat and muscle do not burn at the same rate. The rate changes based upon various conditions, one of those conditions is your diet. There is plenty of research that supports high protein diets helping to prevent muscle loss while in a calorie deficit.
@nwr793214 күн бұрын
@@personaltraining nope. once your body has burned thru the stored glycogen it will go to the fat stores AND the muscle. You’re not correct about various conditions. Any excess protein will be stored as fat ….. same thing with excess carbs and excess fats. Your body doesn’t differentiate which fat it burns. It will burn visceral fat as well all at the same time. It’s just the way the body works. Please don’t lie.

How many days we have to work out 🏋🏿
@personaltrainingАй бұрын
Great question, and it really depends on how often you were working out before taking a GLP-1. You want to maintain or increase that program by a bit. So if you worked out 1 day per week, now do 2 days. If you worked out 3+ days per week, just stick with that and see how it goes or increase it by 1 day. If you never worked out, try 2 days to start and then maybe increase to 3 days after 2-3 months. We recommend a minimun of 2 days for most clients and our average client works out 3 days per week and is active walking or doing less intense active rest exercises most other days of the week. Always best to make sure you speak with your personal doctor, physio, or trainer for specific advice for you.

We have both suffered from time to time with PF, I think due to being barefoot a lot. These were complete game changers for us. For me, it changes my posture and balance. Happy we made the purchase.

They’re just simple frozen meals. Why don’t they just bulk ship them to Walmart in variety packs with 3-5 meals in a pack and let u buy it at Walmart in person. It’s crazy to me they individually pay to ship them to homes rather than a store, the shipping part is so dumb to me as a business decision. Even if people don’t wanna cook, they’ll still end up going to the grocery store at least once a week to pick up SOMETHING
@personaltraining5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment! I agree with you that shipping the way they do adds to the expense. However, just to clarify and be fair to them, I don't think their meals are actually frozen. I think they are refrigerated which is a key difference in Factor vs grocery store options that I have found. However, for me I prefer the cheaper grocery store meals even if they are frozen due to the expense.

Great job! How many times a week did you workout and how many grams of protein?
@personaltraining7 ай бұрын
This is Matt from GoTherex, Giuliana's protein goal was 125 grams per day which was her goal weight. We recommend 1g / lb of your goal weight. She worked out 2-3 times per week and walks 8,000 plus steps daily.
@ABeautyAddict7 ай бұрын
She is a great example of how to do this. Did you provide a meal plan or just told her to eat protein? Also, what’s the minimum amount of protein required for an average female? Thanks!
@personaltraining7 ай бұрын
Hi, this is Matt. Giuliana likes to prepare her own meals so we focused on macros and total calories. It was actually a challenge for her to eat enough while on Mounjaro to reach her protein and calorie goals, she usually ate less than her goal. When trying to retain muscle we recommend approximately 1g/lb of your goal weight or 0.8 grams per lb of your current weight as your daily goal. If you respond well to the medication it will be a huge challenge to eat that much but protein is a great stimulus for muscle retention.

Excited for you that you have already seem tremendous progress! Do you best to eat close to 100 grams of protein per day or more and try adding some resistance training, bodyweight or with weights and bands. The goal is to retain your muscle mass and burn fat. Without the protein and workouts, the body often burns too high of % of muscle.
