My PAC 2024 report did not flag this, but when I try to assign the "PDF/UA v1 ISO 14289-1 2014" selection to the Accessibility PDF/UA compliance dropdown in the properties window, I received an error "The given metadata was not in the XMP format". Would you be able to assist?

Nice comprehensive explanation but unfortunately this fix is no longer available in the current Acrobat Pro version (2024).

Found that with Acrobat Pro I could open PDF Standards in the right hand column then choose preflight and then, profiles within that to pick PDF/UA and with that selected, choose analyze and fix down below which then did the trick.

When I get the "Tagged content present inside an artifact" issue i'm not getting a zoom in of what it is that is the issue like you get at 01:46 I only get an image of the first page...

Is it an only existing solution? I have to do it without sighted assistance.

I have a different problem. When I drag the figure tag out of the formXobject, the image goes to the bottom of the page and is huge.

What about on a span tag that is being used to provide actual text? This fix is not working for it.

I'm sure to be coming back to this as I run into these situations, as I can never remember it all in one go. I am curious - do PDFs allow you to set a language attribute within a span tag? For instance in HTML you can set the language to different languages for phrases like "j'taime."

This doesn't work on a layered figure created in InDesign probably with text inside of it. If you delete the figure and retag it, the layered text inside of it disappears. In the content panel it has been artifacted, but taking it out of the content tag, then retagging as a paragraph doesn't work. Since layered pictures are the standard way of designing in Photoshop and other Adobe products, you need to come up with a solution for that.

Not helpful at all when you have the error on a hundred footnotes. There must be a better way in preflight.

Thank you for this video. However, this is ridiculous. These are official state regulations and it takes tens of steps to do all of this manually. In 2021 this is not acceptable and a complete waste of time. Microsoft and Adobe need to step up fast!
