@EbikesandMore3 күн бұрын
I was considering sanding all the plastics down... but I didn't and painted right over the white. But you'd think they'd all look like that... I think it reacted weird to a 3rd coat or I didn't shake the can up or something simple. I will eventually redo it or order the new grey plastics.

how did you resolve the front wheel rubbing?
@EbikesandMore7 күн бұрын
Sorry this was a customer's bike, and i guess I didn't have that issue. And rubbing though is spacing and washers. So either you might not have washers in the right space or too many. Usually there is only a nut and one washer on each side. Or is it the brakes rubbing, or the fender?

Cold start solved. Tyler, the problem was the OEM 35 pilot. It’s not a true 35. I took the OEM out and replace with a quality 35 and it cold starts no choke, no throttle instantly every time! Hard to believe but it works.
@EbikesandMore14 күн бұрын
Yeah the pilot jet looked strange. Like I showed in the video I went ahead and went up to a 38 and also up 3 on the main jet also. After riding it 2k miles the spark plug looked good, and it ran amazing. Loved the bike, but it's for sale and got a KLX 300SM to replace it.

Then I told them to send a full refund otherwise I'll raise a dispute with my bank, they told me they have refunded the money. But, I did not get the money back and there was no email confirmation of order being cancelled and no email to confirm my money being refunded. I had to raise a dispute with my bank against this charge as a fraud. Now I'm awaiting the dispute to be resolved. Don't buy from them!

Why don't you do a gas bike? I just ordered one and debated on Ebike but there's a thousand reasons I just adjust to an electric bike
@EbikesandMore19 күн бұрын
By gas bike, do you mean motorcycle, or like the gas motor kits to put onto a bicycle? I have a few motorcycle's, and I now have an electric dirt bike... I like both gas and electric equally myself. For this particular video I built the sidecar onto my fat tire electric bike and wanted something quite that didn't scare my dog's at all. I have a small business that I repair electric bike's and scooters and stuff. And I also work on Motorsports stuff too. Each have their issues, and having to deal with old fuel and ethanol in a lot of vehicles is a huge reason they need repaired. Electric bike's only typically come to me for repairs if the battery is dead and needs replaced... or it's just a cheap manufacturer's electric bike with very cheap controllers and stuff. Thanks for watching

@EbikesandMore25 күн бұрын
@ezuoop I've never really pushed it so far range wise... but with my weight and the stock 19's on a flat path I went 45 miles and had 30 percent I think. But if you're at a track hitting the throttle harder in Sport mode... 25 to 30 miles I think is what they are getting. Depending on your weight the only bad I've seen of this bike is after a year the front forks start bottoming out on a motocross track. I love the Ultra Bee and the only other bike I'd want is a Stark Varg.

Hey man, I was following your stuff when you bought the XR150L (which I had) and now you have a KLX300SM which I am about to buy too!! Brother we are totally on the same page.
@EbikesandMoreАй бұрын
Awesome man! I still have the XR150L because it's huge losss of value... I was offered like 1700 trade in, and have it listed for 3k and definitely no offers. So I'll probably keep it and teach my dad and friends to ride with it. I was never wven considering the Honda 300 because the Kawasaki is the better bike because of its suspension. You'll love the KLX 300 SM and if you can find the blue one it looks awesome. I like my battle gray color, but the blue is the one I wanted. But Iron Pony Powersports had this one used with only 219 miles and the exhaust, adjustable levers, hand gaurds, new bars, tail tidy, and other stuff done already for the same price as a new stock one. Good luck and hope you get a great deal!
@1122redbirdАй бұрын
Hang on to your XR150L and wait til spring to sell it. Don't even list it now. You'll get double what you would now, its a low cost bike and will sell in spring because people get the itch to ride and that's a easy chilled bike anyone can ride - ask 2500-2800 and it'll go. Glad you didn't trade it in, they will give low ball trade ins. Mine sold in 2 days last spring for 2800. Honestly I love Honda smoothness and if they had a supermoto from the factory I'd be all over it! You are right that KLX has better suspension, no question about it but Honda fixed that I heard with the 2025 models that will come soon. There is a used blue KLX SM near me and a new blue one at a DEAL but I want gray so I'm paying 300 bucks more to go somewhere for the gray one! Both cool color schemes though. Yours looks great. I love the air cooled thumpers like that XR, no cooling system to deal with and so simple to work on. But these bikes if ridden hard will get hot so I'm thinking the cooling system will keep the bike more comfortable on longer rides in the mountains. Stay safe sir and keep the vids rolling. Like your enthusiasm.

Pay attention to the exhaust valve, mine tightened up significantly. That was at just over 3k miles. It has a loss of performance, and my plug was reading sooty/rich. @GlareMediaDesignPrintАй бұрын
Hey thanks for sharing the method of adjusting valves. I noticed two errors you made with the bike outside of the valve adjustments. The fuel, should be 92 or 95 Octane due to the compression ratio and re-jetting the carb without taking altitude and humidity into consideration will do more bad than good . When you said bog down, what do you mean? Bog down refers to limited fuel for correct mixture, the opposite to that is a flat spot. A Bog feels like the bike has a tugging/jerking sensation while a flat spot feels like a sudden loss in power during the rev range. In some cases it will come back once the excess fuel is burnt up. A good exercise to help identify the issue for flat spots is to slowly twist the throttle while you're going through the revs. This will allow the air and fuel to mix at a more controlled rate, this giving you time to feel the power loss. Once you identify the point of flat spot. the next step is to find out how much more fuel is added. Rev the bike a few times in a sun beam spot to see smoke, if the dark brown smoke is clearly visible during revs outside of a sun beam. It's extremely rich, if its slightly visible within the sun beam, it's mildly rich.

Very useful video. I have found that the XR150L is a mind-bogglingly bad "dirt bike", but that didn't matter to me because I have real dirt bikes. I use mine to run errands around the city, get groceries, and haul a chainsaw into the woods for trail work. For those purposes it works very well! The only mods I have done are a 15 tooth front sprocket that really helps the stop light to stop light and hill climbing power, and I've modified the rack to carry tools for trail work. In my opinion, spending any further money on the bike would be a total waste. It's just not a platform that can be significantly improved for any reasonable amount of money. But it does what it's designed to do (economical city commuting) very well.
@EbikesandMore2 ай бұрын
Very well said, and yes the XR150L is awesome for around town and getting groceries or I ride with my dog sometimes on back. It's a nice little cheap bike, but yeah not dirt bike capable really. Now that I have this Surron Ultra Bee i am going to get a KLX 300 either regular dual sport one, or the SM version. I might keep the XR150L for friends to learn on and ride with me and my dad. Because I was offered like $700 trade in. Lol

@@EbikesandMore Ha ha I had not seen your channel before, but I also have been carrying my little dog around via milk crate. She loves to go to the park that way. I made a wood platform attached to the rack with conduit clamps, and then I mount the milk crate, or tools, etc. to the wood. It seems pretty secure. I'll will likely be keeping my xr150l for the long haul. It's proving very useful for trail maintenance and errand running, and I've just discovered a new benefit. It's apparently to small to trigger the parking deck entrance gates in the city where I live, so when I go for various heath care visits, they let me park anywhere for free.🙂
