Austin energy works hard to get power back on but i find they are faster if i call austin 311 to immediately report when power goes out. It also helps them to mention did lights go out then come back on before going off again. Did you hear a boom? All these things help them identify where to go to figure out the problem the fastest

Aww.. thank you helping navajo ppl without lights. Just hope the connection all works so they dont have outages. NTUA really bad!!! Exspecially on cold frezzy day were out of light for almost a whole day. Not Just n winter n summer too. NTUA awfull service is bad too they dont pick up.. when your on hold they hang up. U have start over again to call?. Somebody some comapny need buy off NTUA. Whoever runs ntua from Chicago somewhere bad business they give for ppl Navajo nation.. HELP !!

Why is it that power poles for feeder lines in the US are almost always wood which is vulnerable to weather events and other incidents? Many other developing countries, for instance, Colombia (which I recently visited), use concrete poles for their feeder lines and those won't snap like this one. US infrastructure has become a laughing joke.

So everyone keeps saying feel sorry for the ground crew-no, not at all. A worker who does his job receives no criticism, a worker who sees an issue and says nothing, his fault. A worker who does NOTHING and whose crew does NOTHING to prevent NOTHING, deserves NOTHING! THIS IS WHY THE CITY COUNCIL ARE NOW INVESTING YOU IDIOTS!! GIVE US OUR POWER BACK NOW!!!

I feel for the workers, but Austin Energy needs to let the PR people step aside RIGHT NOW and we need to hear from management top brass about how they are going to be accountable. Four days without power, and it took three days to get any update from them. Then, the "update" was a PR-department written email about how great they have done under such terrible circumstances (for them. . .). To the thousands of people without power, that is not an update, that is an insult. I want results and real updates from real people, not PR people.

So why were no trees trimmed beforehand???

Just do your job during the rest of the year and you won’t have to work in a winter storm ???

How about instead of using disasters to clean trees from power lines, y'all do it regularly.

Well we’ve been out of power for a day and a half over on the Springdale area in Reyes and Santana we call and they say that there’s no outage here but 3:12 am we been out of power since 3 am o’clock Tuesday in the morning yesterday we got 2 elderly parents living here and y’all need to come check because they say there’s no outage here but there is an outage to get up and come look

It’s amazing that the enire South Park meadows as well as freaking planet k has power but just down at 1626 everything is out. Now can’t even check status cuz your system is down. This storm was predicted a week ago, y’all absolutely suck
