Good chat about the cause of Brian's death. We shall probably never know the facts now but this video certainly made some very good points. RIP Brian.

Burnout is about smoking a lot of pot and how that makes you feel. Someone who smokes too much pot is called a burnout.

I recently bought these albums about a week ago and I was so disappointed. I became a huge Beatles fan at the age of 12 in 1987 after hearing "Sgt. Pepper" on cassette. I started to collect all of their music starting with "Meet the Beatles", "Second album" "Something new" "Hard Days night" and so on ..They were on the blue label Capitol cassettes. I loved that rough and raw analog mix. A friend of mine was also collecting his Beatles collection. Only he was buying the British versions ( which had just come out) I borrowed "With the Beatles" and I just didn't get the same enjoyment out of it. To me that American mix seems to capture the spirit of Beatlemania. Now in these 2024 mix they sound sanitized and stripped of what once made these albums great. I enjoyed it when they remastered "Sgt pepper" "The Beatles" and " Abbey Road", however I did not like the remix of "Let it Be". Say what you will Phil Spector was a genius and when you try to undo his brilliant mastering the sound comes up sounded empty. Hint "Imagine" and "Mind games" remasters. I think when they came to redo "Revolver" that's when you got to say enough is enough. That is an album that is supposed to sound raw and loud. I know this younger generation wants that clean sound because they're a bunch of pussies, but little do they now that they are robbing themselves of the reasons why this is the greatest band on earth. They still are even after 55 yrs after their split. Nothing beats the original pressing or a cassette pressing. Remember when musicians created their music in the 60's 70's 80s they used reel to reel tape. Cassettes are just a more compact version of the reel to reel. Which means what you hear on cassettes is the closest sound that the artist wanted you to hear their music. Not with digital enhancements. Skip this cash grab and instead invest in a good cassette player hooked up to a good analog sound system (not Bluetooth) and go to Ebay and look up your favorite Beatles cassette and you surly get a true sense of what The Beatlemania was all about. ☮️

I was amazed with how the Great Gig in the Sky matched with the bnw twister scene so beautifully. And then flowed right into Money with the Munchkinland arrival scene. I could rewatch this and enjoy it time n again.

Someone people liked dies. Fans either accept it or not. He faked his death? He's still out there? Yah, it's how religion and cults start.

My parents went to Woodstock 94 but (rightfully so) 13 year old me wasn’t allowed to go. I watched the pay per view coverage, purchased the cd and vhs. The mud slinging Green Day performance stood out.

I'm a big fan of vinyl, having sold hi-fi between 1976 and 1983, and have about 3,500 albums. But comically, I have only one Beatles album (pristine old copy of Revolver). I have to confess that because my hearing is now not all that great (I'm 70 and wear hearing aids), though I love listening to vinyl, I'm now happy to listen via KZbin videos to anything I don't already have. I also have a memory stick with everything ever produced by the beatles. It's pretty much always plugged in to the amp in my refurbished 1960's console in the mancave area... Oh, I just remembered, I also picked up (in a box lot at an estate sale) a test pressing from mobile fidelity of Sgt Pepper. It's only stamped on one side. The jacket is white with "pepper" written by someone in pen on the corner of the jacket.

Agree totally about The Crunge. Replace it with the obvious, Houses of the Holy off P.G. and this album vaults up way higher. I don't agree on the Lemon Song, great bluesy track. Good ranking video.

What seems to have completely passed this fella by with these rehash and re issues of 2 classic Beatles albums is...... They are re-mixes of the original tracks and therefore not as The Beatles or George Martin intended, worse,- they are re mixes of previously 'compressed to death ' CD re mixes!. So , they have absolutely no actual 'Vinyl' quality to them!!. If you are wanting to listen to these albums and hear them properly,..... Look out for clean original 'real vinyl ' discs as issued circa 1973/74 by EMI , (without any involvement from Alan Klein by the way).

No...is the answer to that. He's dead. Of all the artists and celebrities who have died over the years the only one that wouldn't totally surprise me if I found out they were still actually living, is Prince. I doubt it, but it wouldn't be a complete shock.

Just from quick listens on my phone speakers, I prefer A and B. I'm going to rewatch this and listen through my computer setup ( Mac and Audient ID24) and headphones when I get a chance soon. C sounded too bright to my ears (on the phone), and E was too dull. A/B were nicely right in the middle. I have the MoFi version, and it's not great to my ears. It's disappointing, actually, but I grew up listening to the original CD, though. Every time I go into Walmart, I check the vinyl section. My particular Walmart has a shitty selection, but I was surprised to see a 2024 copy of the Blue album sitting there just before Christmas, so I grabbed it. I haven't opened it yet. I'm hoping it's better.

This amazing reunion and the story of Peter Frampton's "Phenix" guitar both are simply mind boggling. I hope both eventually go on public display even if formally owned privately.

Look into a preacher named Bob Joyce. He sounds a lot like Elvis. Evidently, Joyce married Elvis' last girlfriend. Joyce went to Lisa Marie's invitation-only funeral. Bob Joyce's album, Safely Home, has a version of 'How Great Thou Art', which sounds like Elvis. The inflections and where Joyce takes breaths are identical to Elvis Presley.

I saw Elvis in a village pub in Suffolk in the mid 80s. Definitely him. I can still see it in my mind’s eye- he had a light and bitter and a pickled egg in a bag of ready salted. Brilliant crib player. 100% sure.
