Here is a very late reaction. I got this bike, with hind sight I would not buy it again. The SORA group has awful durability. Precise shifting never was a strong point, but after some years it became impossible. Unfortunally, the cheap SORA stuff is not compatible with anything of quality. I therefore changed the shifters and derailleurs fore and aft, the casette (now 10x) and the chain wheels to 105. The breaks do not even come close to hydraulic ones. Without constant adjustment they qualify rather as aweful. If you do not adjust them to thight tolerance they actually are a severe security risk: you simply cannot break. Shame on Specialized for such a lousy bike.

Gijs, wat is jouw lichaamslengte? Ikzelf rijd sinds kort met mijn 1,76m een WorldTraveller S (10 jarig Jubileum versie, schitterende kleur!) in maat 57 en dat voelt eigenlijk verrassend goed aan (was nog de enige (dacht ik) nieuwe, notabene in de plaats waar ikzelf woon dus nam een risico omdat 54 in theorie beter zou passen….maar ja, in theorie, he) Ik zie hier dat jij hier ook op een 57'er reed met vergelijkbare afstelling, dus vandaar mijn vraag.

Na bijna 3 jaar valt de prijs op dit moment wel erg tegen, ik wil deze fiets graag hebben maar voor 4500 euro met Rohloff ,Son, rekken en verlichting vind ik het wel erg veel geld. Santos is nog duurder, maar niet veel meer. Dus eigenlijk verwacht ik wel een stuntje op dit oude model uit 2016.

He displays bodies for educational reasons. Bodies that were donated with the deceased persons' consent. I guess the dead people on display are also demons for giving people permission to do this to their bodies. You do realise that your body is completely useless to you once you are dead, right? Unfortunately, a lot of people like you don't seem to realise this.

Dag Gijs, heb je hem getest met veel gewicht? Hoeveel kan hij aan zonder stabiliteit te verliezen? Is Rohloff mogelijk? En als je deze vergelijkt met bv een Santos Cross Lite, houdt ie dan een beetje stand? Vraag van een Belg met een Beperkt Budget maar met veel fietsreisgoesting!

Hoi! Beetje late reactie. Ik heb tegenwoordig een ander kanaal waar ik actief ben. Normaal 7,5 kg voor en 15-20 kg achter. Hij is minder stabiel dan een Santos en die vergelijking gaat alleen al vanwege de prijs niet op. Toch was de Awol gezien de prijs een prima fiets. Rohloff.... nope.
