Hi there. Thanks for this valuable information. One question, how many months does the quote cover? I always wonder if charging is per month or some other form.
@st.jamesco.668310 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! Many Stagers charge a monthly "rental" fee because it could be in the property for a while, this can range between $100-$300 monthly depending on your location. For me, I don't like to chase my money so it can be more of a hassle trying to collect monthly payments than it's worth so I charge for the cost of items, installation & future destaging costs(movers/truck rental/gas), and my time(how much I would like to receive after all expenses are paid,). I allow my clients to keep the pieces up to 12 months "free", but it's never in the property more than 3 months. If you choose this option, be sure to include in your contract that those remaining months unused are not transferable to another stage, because people will try it. Haha! You'll find what works for you tho, often through trial and error because no ONE Staging style is for everyone. Hope that helped a little! *Please subscribe!! #ShamelessPlug

It didn't turn yellow for me. But it didn't hold 100% against scrapes and scratches. It's still looking good, but definitely only worth it for a temporary fix in my opinion. Glad everything worked out in the end for you.

Hello, I am looking to earn a certificate in home staging and wanted to know if you ever heard of IAP career College? Can you recommend an online college to obtain a certificate? Please and thank you. 🙏🏿
@st.jamesco.66832 жыл бұрын
Hi Catonne73! I have to say, I'm not familiar with IAP. There are a variety of locations where you could obtain a staging cert. Little known fact: although it is highly recommended to get training, certification is NOT required for home staging. People are literally just creating their courses and selling it to others so they can become "certified" through them. With that being said, the industry is unregulated so pretty much anything goes which can negatively affect your business reputation if you do shoddy work. Depending on what you're looking for in a career, i.e., community, awards, recognition, help with contracts, insurance and a host of other services, etc., you might find agencies like RESA, an organization that offers a community of staging and networking. or IAHSP, another popular one. But if you just want a business that isn't tied to any annual fees and you just do your thing and feel comfortable doing it all, then joining those wont be necessary. One thing for certain, two things for sure, I've never had an agent or a client ask if I was a part of any organization nor for my credentials. Hope that helped a tidbit.
@terrencehowell92032 жыл бұрын
My advice is to join and attend your local Real estate marking meetings and network. Try meeting a home stager there, maybe asking if you can shadow them on a job or 2. Those certificate programs leave out about 10 different things that you really should know.
