Greetings from Harrison. I have the 49 B that was bought for the farm new. I t runs pretty well but the transmission needs a lot of work just plum wore out, can't even imagine how many hours are on it. I know you skip a bit of stuff you do but don't be afraid to show more of what goes into the process of the build it is very interesting to me, if it is to me it is also interesting to many people too. I have watched most all of your videos. Me and lady friend stopped in to your place she wanted to buy some plants and you in short order let your wife show her the plants she wanted and took me out to the shop. That day you had the jeep on blocks I think working on the gas tank. Thanks so much it was a great visit.

Helped a fellow retrieve a pair of B’s his dad had owned after he had passed.. Had so much water in both rears that they were froze tight and wouldn’t move. We built a small fire under them both to free them up so we could get them on the trailer.

Do those rims on the B, have the locking flanged built into the rim? I believe this is how my 41 A’s wheels are mounted to the axle. On the left side of the tractor the flanges are all cracked and the previous owner has one weld it back together. However it is broken again. I have avoid pulling anything heavy with it. If the flanges are pare of the wheel, how hard are these to find ?

The end of the cotter pin appeared to fly clear. By the way showing how to install a cotter pin is valuable as the instructions are hard to see.

That transmission oil is expensive. I had sticker shock when I refilled my Super M. It was around $300. 🙄 A lot of times, that left side brake is used more during plowing, to help steer the tractor in the plow furrow. Good stuff! You’re treating the old girl right!

Like the grease/oil/honey used for the steering. I saw what type of grease, but didn’t the oil that you mixed with it. What brand was it ? I also know you didn’t use honey, it was brownish and thick. Lubing up the steering is something else I plan to do in the spring. I live in Michigan and its too cold to work on these old gals in the winter.

Thank you sir. I’ve been looking at weather station models from recommended manufacturers and it does seem that the Davis Vantage Pro 2 is worth the money you’re spending to get it. Unfortunately Davis doesn’t deal directly with customers in the EU (I’m 7000km from Maine) but through appointed agents so I’m now looking at which of these are reliable! Thanks for posting.
