I've always thought that the main reason Dalton didn't get to make more than 2 Bond movies is that people were too used to Roger Moore and his sense of humor. The ruining of the Leiters' marriage was actually kind of scary.

This song fits him very well Timothy Dalton, because at the end of the day he is my dream man ever since I was a teenager. Oh my God I would marry this man I’m a heartbeat if he asked me to.

Definitely one of the best Bond soundtracks and should have been a main theme - rather than exit song. From 1987.

Ironically... just before the band broke up, Blondie released "For Your Eyes Only" (on The Hunter album) - Intended to become the Bond theme, but was rejected in favour of Sheen Easton's slower (dreary) version. Blondie's was way BETTER ! It borrows "some of the elements" of this Goldfinger arrangement, especially the closing guitar riffs.
