How much would you take for Dorothy II

@@lincoln6444 I honestly don't have a price on Dorothy. She holds a much higher sentimental & nostalgic value to myself, my family and community than someone would want to spend the $$$ on to fill. That being said, the estimated cost to construct a close copy would be approximately 10k after all the materials and construction. Alot of hard to find parts at high prices is part to what drives that cost up.

The truck or Dorothy? Built Dorothy and bought the truck in Illinois, and refurbished it. Hopefully will get an new coat of all red paint someday in the near future, just don't have it in the budget right now lol

Where did you get the pieces from and how much did it cost Dorothy

@@lincoln6444the pieces came from various places. The lights are wheen rotators, the frame is welded 1.5 inch steel tubing, and the drum is made from 4x8 stainless steel. Just about everything on it is custom made using measurements from the real movie props. Basically it's an almost exact 1:1 scale replica

As far as cost, that's fluid really. A lot of it depends heavily on the cost of the materials and hard to find vintage parts like the lights, camera lenses and switch boxes. I am approximating, but it probably cost me between $4k and $6k... the lights alone were almost $1000 worth of it

i got the crazy man idea and is now making a replica Dorothy but its a 55 gal drum and i am making the frame now a rough pounds it will be around 200 lb if dry and if i have to will fill drum up for more weight but the truck is a ford f150 2014 blue so Im just making it like its a reused Dorothy i may put numbers xxiv for 24 of the year

Saw u on the road In summer! I just wanna say me and my bf freaked out so bad. I started looking at replicas and founds yours by happen stance just now! It was so cool and hope u didnt mind that we took a photo. Sorry, we just got really excited cuz you were driving down our road to our old house. 😅 it felt like we were little kids again! Thank you for takin er out on a spin that day. It really made our day and we will still talk about that day for years to come.

im making my own rig but is absolue fake but could be like if Dorothy was reused but the truck is a blue beat up rust bucket 2014 f150 ill see how the 55 gal drum dose for it the frame is a beefy thing

Going Green!!! When riding into hell itself...wow...I remember when this truck series came out...and then that famous scene of this charging into the storm...what a perfect truck to use...congrats on how BEAUTIFUL you have this...like day one showroom....
