We apply a very potent topical numbing cream and inject lidocaine and offer Pro-Nox, to reduce the pain of the needle pokes. Patients say it's very tolerable and much more so than surgery. After the procedure we ask patients to double bra until the PRP is fully absorbed which will help with the tenderness.

It's not that bad because there are not very many nerve endings where we're injecting. We also use a very potent topical numbing and inject lido as well, so the patient is pretty comfortable.

Why is it only temporary if you’re generating and recruiting stem cells and converting those to actual tissue? Also, can we aim closer to the facial bone structure? I understand that bone resorption is a huge contributor to aging, so if we could support the facial ‘bones’ at the cellular level I think it would do so much more to restore the natural structure to the face.

Because we're not inserting plastic. You are spot on-- we are generating brand new tissue that will last as long as your body allows. We don't have evidence that the way this treatment is performed it will preserve or generate new bone. PRP generates new adipose and epidermis tissue well though.

I just had my 1st treatment of 3 of Scarlet RF Microneedling. I used the topical numbing cream 1 yr prior, Zero pain, barely felt anything. Had my face & neck done. I'm a little confused why the nitrous?

Some people don't have as strong of pain tolerance as you. We have a fair amount of patients who can still feel it even through our specially compounded numbing cream.

Doc I’m scared I had co2 fractional laser six months ago. I am getting another treatment in a week. Four weeks ago my ocular facial plastic surgeon put a small amount of radiesse in my temple and top of cheeks using a cannula. Today I woke up with a white round spot on my upper cheek closer to the corner of my eye. Not puffy just round and I can see it. I am scheduled for my second co2 in a week and since radiesse causes collagen to build and so does co2 do you think it is wise to cancel co2 ? I’m worried it will amplify the radiesse and cause pillow face on this one side ❤❤❤. Please answer 😢

It's actually not short term. The treatment generates new tissue that lasts as long as your tissue lasts.

Patients can use Pro-Nox during the treatment but generally there is no pain post procedure, just some fullness and discomfort that is resolved when the PRP is absorbed.
