I remember playing it on a Sharp X68000 emulator in 1997, on a Pentium PC, 100Mhz. I was never able to get past the later stages due to slowness issues. The sound was incredible, configured as CM-64 or SC-55, on an AWE 64 sound card.

At 14:34, I found a way to soft lock the game back in the '90s. Before the game takes control of your character and transition to the next area, jump up to the ropes on the left. When the game takes control of your character in mid-air, they'll drop straight down and off the screen, the music will then gradually fade away, and the game will soft lock. This is Irem's last arcade game before a part of their staff went to form Nazca and made Metal Slug, and this game is widely considered as a prototype, or Metal Slug Zero so to speak.

Maybe not thats game was before Metal Slug, i think use SNK game use same code scrolling objects engine, but sprite was a best beatiful😅😅

Because it basically is. After Irem folded, some of their employees would go on to form Nazca Corporation. Metal Slug would be one of their first games, the other being Neo Turf Masters. This game could be considered a spiritual prequel to the Metal Slug series.
