I think we still can't use the large Biofuel Canister. They probably will release another update for a tool to connect the Biofuel devices. Tuskers are also cool, they have ton of health and large carry capacity. You can use them like Snow Biomes' Buffaloes. To get more Tusks and Epoxy. 1.) Take buildables for a small shack and the Mortar & Pestle. Also take Dropship Recall Beacon. 2.) Go to the same place where you found the mammoth. Make a small shack in a safe place. Place the Mortar & Pestle. 3.) Kill a mammoth and take the tusks to your shack and get the Epoxy in the mortar and pestle. Do this with as many mammoth you can get. 4.) Call the Dropship with the Beacon and throw all the Epoxy in it and if you have excess you can carry it on you. You can also increase the inventory slots in the Moa. (Check the Top Left Talent with Moa). 5.) Go back to your base and call the dropship back to your place. P.S.: You can remove one triangle piece between the base and the barn and replace the wall that is sticking out on top of the barn. Also you need a few Pillars around all the corners, the snow can damage the structure. It seems you can go one level up as well. And I would suggest that you use Concrete Roof on the starting and ends of the base.

dont forget that of yuou run out of space tpo carry your exotics you have the saddle bags in your pet (that's why i like to use the terranus when caving for nodes it has the extra slots for mining

when you get a meteor shower it regenerates a lot of the cave nodes again when doing these types of extraction it can be easier just to carry your contact device from home base then send them up as Sourabh suggests

When you are near an exotic deposit, you will always hear a typical music. So do pay attention to it. It is a good indicator that you are near an exotic deposit. Also you can carry the OES with you to request a dropship to send the exotics up directly. You could have got some iron from the cave and created an OES and summoned a dropship. You had to make a Crafting table then a Stone Furnace and then an OES. The Exotic deposits get renewed after you get the meteor shower. This happens when you have mined few of the exotic deposits. It also removes the scans in your map as you would have to do new ones for the new locations.

just a quick hint for you, as you are filming a lot of your recording is far too dark, I suggest you go into "Settings" and change your "Shadow setting" it will lighten up your screen for us to see properly. Well a personal high dive platform into shallow water...I wonder how that will work out? You could try to build it about three miles high, it might even let you miss the pool altogether 😋

For the upper floors use the Pillars. First run the Wire/Pipe along the wall joints/corners and then put pillars over them. You have to make sure the benches are near the pillars accordingly. You can put three Water Wheels in the stream ahead, crossing the bridge, towards the electricity shed. LOLZ... if you had kept yourself on the right side of the waterfall, you would have been able to get to the lake on top of the watrfall.

Make the animal feed, crafted in your person, which requires Seeds and Wheat. They have the best buff for animals/tames. You do not need the Acidic Glands/Noxious Crusts/Crystalized Miasma/Infected Bark. As it all requires Organic Residue Cleanser, which can only be made in Tier 4. You can carry the Crystalized Miasma in your Horse's inventory. It can me used to make the Miasmic Pickaxe and Axe. They have special usage and can give your 10 times the ore harvest. Also Miasmic Axe can give you ton of Epoxy from just one tree. In Swamps, you can get Soybeans, Potatoes and Mushrooms.

You always get your animal killed. By now you should know how to protect them. How much does it take to just build a 3x4 base, Crafting Bench, Mortar & Pestle and then the tree sap? Why would you even think to go back to your base just for tree sap?

Never put the Animals in Aggressive mode when they are inside the base. If they detect any animals/threat outside the base, they will destroy walls and objects in the way to attack the threat. Also you can use the Horse/Buffalo/Tusker/Moa to attack while riding them. You can remove the Wooden Carpenter's Bench and Decorations Bench as the Electric Carpenter's Bench does all the same stuff. The Yellow Bush is the Gorse Flower.

If you want to venture in arctic biome for a base, then you need to keep in mind few things. Carry Concrete Buildables 3 x 3 with Sloping roof instead of flats ones. Flat Roofs get damaged with the snow accumulation. Keep a good stock of Wood and Fiber. Also if you want to start with a base, then carry a Fabricator. Also the usuals like Wood Floors and Ramps. Do check online for the best Snow Biome for Deep Ore veins and caves. Also make sure Moa has the talents for Speed, Inventory and Weight. Also carry the Animal Fat Lamp as they are easier to repair.

For best terranus results follow the same selection for your skills, max health, max stamina, max regen, after those give everything to the speed gods, he is nearly as fast as a Moa when the skills are set right

A good episode. Well wolves will do what wolves do. I suggest you use your terranus more for both the heavy work and for situations where you might or will end up in trouble, that way you will not have to keep appologizing to the Moa Gods for losing another one and then have to spend half a day trying to replace it, the aggressive mode on the terranus is there for a good reason and you cannot always take the rat pack with you on longer journeys they will slow you down too much, just a suggestion!

@@thescrewupteam hmm, yeah. My Experience was right after the update doing all the animal stuff, at least then, within the week. They wouldn’t eat other predators. I tried. As they were what kore easily available and came to other corpses. Another channel that does videos tried they had the same result. Maybe been patched out since then? I’m guessing. On release you couldn’t, can’t say for sure after that. Honestly hard to keep track of. Been playing since beta. Off and on, so many changes: many of them so minor, you, barely notoce. And then big changes.

@@thescrewupteam ahh, yeah. I think it was changed. But for a week, maybe two, predators wouldn’t eat other ones in the taming process. I though was dumb as wolves would absolutely kill or eat the weak or dead of the pack to survive. Or any other meat. Any predator will that isn’t a domesticated dog, and well cared for they. They are the only natural meat eater that won’t eat their human if they love them, domesticated dogs. Even people will kill to eat meat, if they have to. Let alone eat the dead, hell we do it for fun and religion at times, granted, the old pagan ones. But still happened and still does to this day. And yeah, always changes, minor or big, and improvements, small or large also, one reason why I love the game. I started et the very end of the beta, because of Splitsie, here on YT, his was the first recommendation for the game I seen, sadly they haven’t played in like 7-9 moths or something, was so hoping for them to come back again, I watched their beta stuff, then when they came back to open world when released then some episodes on Prometheus. Then nothing, they do other games, have asked, zero response, sadly. As it’s a million times better than the game they loved and aids they did, for hundreds of hours straight. And Joe has every feature they ever brought up and talked about…yet nothing, no response, sad. I still play, at times, though less, I finally got my Skyrim AE working again, fully, haha, so new builds and ideas, with all my old mod playlist and adding to it even. 291 active esps as of yet, lol.

@@thescrewupteam plus I’ve honestly dreaded playing Icarus at times lately. Not cause the game, but because what I’m forcing myself to do, I’ve commented on another channel…I’m making an Styx super highway, raised concrete, foundation pillars and two floor pieces wide/also supported by cliff side 59 got from mid point grasslands of Styx to extreme south…my whole base and it’s pretty big is all concrete on open world, along with remoldeling my base, moving stuff around it in. Building my second 4x7 block greenhouse, with iron crop plots, solar, water wheel, and wind. And enough advanced battery packs with zero power input to run every for 8 hours and a few minutes. My power requires are mid 20 Kjoules so yeah, my ambition makes me dread playing and sometimes limit my play time to one to two a days a week, when I can. I have spent the last weeks building concrete pieces though. 180 floor pieces. Tons of foundations and beams, walls and roof pieces/angle pieces enough to build hideouts from the weather for every 10 or so minutes of travel with a buffalo cart and the newer perks for me cart speed, and speed in general. Eventually I’m gonna connect mid to far south, and east to west of that giant canyon, with a concrete bridge. From the high sides one side is where you have to build the base in that massive plateau, to other side…all the way across. My goal is to build to there. Then across to each side. So I have fast and easy transport. But that needs fortification and spikes. Repairs…so I don’t lose supports, and it falls down. I’m close to finishing a fully paved and raised about 4 grid run, 2 floor pieces wide, protected as best as we can. With out a million turrets and trillions of rounds of ammo. Haha. U have been working on for over 52 weeks, but sometimes only one day I can or will play, and sometimes for 2 hours at most, life. And I got various raised sections before and after that main one, that I will and can tie in faster and easier. Shortened runs, main base support for construction done.

When you try to build a stair going down a cliff, you should always place a Floor Piece first and then put the stairs going down. In Thunderstorm always make a quick shelter. You could have used the ramps along the stone wall and could have taken shelter beneath it. Also it seems you are carrying unnecessary stuff. You don't need that many variety of ammunition. Just take one of each weapon. Instead carry materials for a quick shack, bed roll and a campfire. Also some materials like Fiber/Stone/Wood. Any scan mission will always attract animals. So you need to keep your ride/tame/pet somewhere safe before you start the scanning. If there are mountains, you can build some ramps going up the wall, and place the animal up and then remove some of the ramps below. This will keep it safe from hostile animals. Or build a small shack and place the animal inside. But it has to be away from the action zone.

to get your mushrooms you need to find an ice cave with a large hole in the center, you need to have all the stuff for your ramps or ladders to get up and down they are very deep

Take a trip to the arctic - entrance I12. Mushrooms in all the cave in this area. If you take the pack, I advise you set them on lie down/stay as soon as you get in the cave. There are pits. If you fall in one you will probably be trapped if not killed. Take ramps and floors to get in and out. There is 1 cave with no pit as far as I can see.

The plant stuff is needed if you need crops that do not wither. If you are decorating with flowers, it's not great if all you have is dead plants!

You can get fiber from Leather. Make Rope from Leather and destroy them to get fiber. Make meat based pies as they provide better health buffs. Also make a salting station. It will let your food last longer in your inventory. Once the animal is tamed, it will show as an "Arrow" marker in your map, just like your other tames.

There is a mission to gain the ability to make weapons from the black wolf teeth. I can't remember if it is a Styx or an Olympus mission. There is a mission on Olympus that gives you the ability to make weapons/armour with the cave worm parts (cave worm bow with cave worm poison arrows). The bow is as good as the recurve bow.

Check your recipes - you looked at 1 way to make cured leather, there are more ways (tree sap instead of beeswax if I remember correctly). There are often 2 different recipes for the same thing now. Steel bloom, for example is iron ore or iron ingot and coal or charcoal. It used to be coal only buy now you can burn a tree and get lots of charcoal. Icarus will even sort out some burnt trees for you!

Unlock Trophy Bench. You can use all the animal vestiges/heads. You have 18 Talent Points which you have not used. Talent points are limited. You will keep getting Tech Points even after Level 60, but Talent Points will stop. So you have to make sure you are able to advance the character appropriately. Strengthen the character. Physical Resistance, Extra Stomach Space, Fall Damage, Firearm Durability, and then the basics like Health, Stamina, Regens, Speed, etc.. These should be there always. Make a Marble Kitchen Storage (or two) and Kitchen Corner (or Two) and Plumbed Sink for the complete Kitchen set and extra storage.

Remember, everything is built/connected to the kitchen bench. That needs to be placed first and everything connected to that. If you pick up the kitchen bench after connecting other units to it, you end up with a pile of overflow bags and no kitchen.

Just a point for you, you have just scored three extra beacons, when doing a mission with beacons, as you enter the mission with the original beacons, you can go into your menu and on the lower right of the screen you will see at the top of the list where you can re-order the beacons which they will presume the originals as being lost, that way you will have six new beacons which is more than enough to cover all your mining drills, your home place and anything else you will need, I often carry one or two as spares when I go out and when I come across a special node I place a beacon down so I dont forget where it is, I would suggest you do the same as your memory and easily distracted senses they would be a real help 😜

Crazed creature: look on the map to see the location, Look at the compass at the top of your screen. When you are looking towards the creature, you will see the same symbol on the compass display. Use it to find what you are looking for. There are many symbols that appear on the compass. It's really useful for finding your way.

So now you have 250 ren and you've opened up the mission tree. Now you can work towards opening the tunnels: - Completing MAELSTROM will unlock the D9 tunnel cave - Completing RICOCHET will unlock the J13-K13 tunnel cave - Completing VERTIGO will unlock the H5 tunnel cave - Completing ZEPHYR will unlock access to the Ring Lake area
