It would be helpful to understand why all the drywall is torn our around the window. It's assuming prior knowledge that those arriving at the video would understand why someone tore out all the drywall before adding the trim.

Seems like $100 worth if parts for $1000. Why not just use a sprinkler controller and a sprinkler valve. Couldn't you just set it to fill for let's say 2 hours per week and save $900

What do you use to attach your side panels to the front finished piece that face outward toward the front of the fridge?
@WoodmereEstateRevival3 ай бұрын
We used cabinet screws through the frame face into the side panel. Also, we attached cleats to the floor and wall behind the side panel and then screwed through them into the panel. That holds the panel very securely.

Hi... Do you have to cut anything on the floor to allow ventilation (air out) for the oven on the island?

No, since it is designed as a wall/island oven, it vents out of the front.

Did you cut in your vents for fresh airing? And also did you alter while you had to have altered your flu pipe to the atmosphere? Seems to make it so simple. I don’t think you know what you are quite doing. If you’re in Australia they would condemn you for that.
@WoodmereEstateRevival5 ай бұрын
Hi Paul. These are ventless gas logs. You’re thinking of vented gas logs, which require a special vent from the outside for fresh air and exhaust. Ventless logs work in an existing masonry fireplace, and they use air from the house to burn and a working flue to exhaust the combustion gasses.

How did cutting out the drywall in the ceiling pass code? Why not patch the drywall, looks like you have room. Down here sewer lines can not run through a kitchen.

@whitephoenixfire886 ай бұрын
I'm considering this for a pool build of my own, thank you!
@WoodmereEstateRevival6 ай бұрын
They actually worked great. The biggest challenge was using that giant core drill on scaffolding in the deep end. We only had one of the four fittings leak. The mounting flange on the inside of the pool cracked so I had to get a new flange, disassemble it, and then reassemble it with more teflon paste on the threads.

Do you have any suggestions for scaffolding for deep end without a ledge?
@WoodmereEstateRevival7 ай бұрын
That’s a tricky one. You might try calling a local scaffolding supplier and see if they have any recommendations. Otherwise you may have to build your own and use some diagonal bracing to support the edges.

Looks cheap and fake. This video is yet another testimony as to why woodburning fireplaces are superior.
@WoodmereEstateRevival8 ай бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. It looks better with some more “wood” chunks and coals around it now as well as a screen and brass fireplace fence. We have a wood burning fireplace in the living room and enjoy building fires in it regularly, but it is very nice to be able to come home from work and hit the button for a fire.

I have a similar gas fireplace in my house. The problem is that when we use it, it emits a gas odor (with no gas leak). Should I consider installing a glass cover?
@WoodmereEstateRevival9 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question! When you say gas odor, do you mean the mercaptan smell in unburnt gas or the combustion smell of burnt gas? If it’s the mercaptan, then that could indicate a leak in the burner assembly that’s allowing some gas to escape without combustion. If it’s the smell of combusted gas, then you may not have an adequate draft in your flue to carry the combustion gasses up the chimney. If your unit is meant to be vented, then the damper needs to be at least partially open to provide adequate ventilation. Find the manufacturer and model number for your unit and get a manual from the manufacturer’s website. I wouldn’t burn it until you confirm proper operation. Many local gas utilities will come inspect gas appliances for free. We had our gas company check out our installation.

You continue doing amazing work on this project! I'm curious how / why you decided to go with a Hayward automation system rather than some of the other popular brands (Jandy, Pentair)? Also, after watching one of your previous videos, I added the Jandy water leveling system into my own pool renovation project. Have you experienced any interface trouble running a Jandy component from a Hayward automation system? Thanks!
@WoodmereEstateRevival9 ай бұрын
Thank you! We did some research on pool automation systems and the Hayward system seemed to fit our needs well. Our Jandy water fill is standalone and does not interface with the Hayward system.

What a waste. Reviving a room can take place by painting, adding tile and purchasing a gas fireplace insert.
@WoodmereEstateRevival11 ай бұрын
That’s your opinion, and I respect that, but we didn’t care for the late 60’s, early 70’s style in a southern colonial house. Be sure to watch the wrap up episode showing the open hearth design with the handmade poplar surround and a gas insert.

Any idea what it means when the “filling” light is red instead of green?
@WoodmereEstateRevival11 ай бұрын
That’s the safety lockout light. That means the system filled the pool up to the prescribed maximum time and it won’t fill again until 24hrs has passed and the lockout resets. You can lengthen the lockout time if you like. Here’s the manual that describes how to do that: images.inyopools.com/cloud/documents/levolor-manual.pdf
