Enjoyed this very much as I was contemplating a performance of this amazing piece at St Clement's, Toronto. A very well-drilled choir under the direction of my old schoolfriend!

What a horrible orchestra, violins sawing wood, unsynchronized playing, instruments out of tune, brass half a tone lower than the orchestra. A nightmare!

So many typical CPE Bach mannerisms in this piece. Syncopated rhythms, abrupt changes in direction, unique and complicated harmonies for the time period. The soloists are outstanding in this version. I have an old CD from 1988 and despite a few hiccups from the college instrumentalists, I think. i prefer this version.

What a fabulous virtual visit "down memory lane" for the 2023-2024 academic year! It was beautifully crafted -- deeply moving from beginning to end! (Of course, "God Has Gone Up With A Shout" was the PERFECT soundtrack!❤🙏❣

In the University of Colorado Modern Choir directed by Warner Imig, we sang the Randall Thompson Frostiana. It was the most delightful "Seven Country Songs" and a group of my very songs. Especially A Girl's Garden. The year was 1962 if I remember correctly.

I was especially moved by the choral music during this worship service which featured compositions of female composers. As usual, the choir was particularly noteworthy, and the director Edward Jones is to be commended for including a work written by my beloved theory and composition teacher, Undine Smith Moore.

Very beautiful performance by this amazing choir! Brought me back to the 'home' setting, the amazing work of our God, our Creator! All the soloists have performed brilliantly under the watch of the gifted Conductor! I sang in the choir about 40 years ago when the Nairobi Music Society presented this great work by Haydn! May our Lord's name be praised and glorified!❤
