Since I purchased this car in the summer I’ve replaced the broken driver lumbar support, changed the rear lights and module to the newer CLK version. I’ve also replaced the quad exhaust tips to AMG ones. The car looks much better now but still needs a bit more work. I need to get the windscreen replaced crack on drivers view and the washer fluid tank leaks so that needs fixing and passenger side heating system doesn’t work. Possibly need to replace the windscreen jet washers too!

Beautiful looking car!!! I just got a 1998 944 Classic that i am going to restore completely. I was lucky to find one that has been saved from rust and has been repainted V70 cerulean blue. Lots of small details to replace and fix to get it back to mint but i love every second of it. These wagons are amazing. :)

Near me, is a 156, and I spoke to it’s one lady owner. Same wheels and sunroof as this one. £1000 each when new. Leather was £1000. And the iridescent blue green colour was 3 grand. I am hoping one day she’ll sell it. 50-60k. 2.0 is perhaps the only downside, but not to me at all. I love the TS. Yours was a beauty, how many miles?

@@modernclassicsrestorations Interesting…!!! Just found your Chanel and subscribed so that’s my entertainment for the evenings sorted for a while. 👍 I’m an older guy with a real interest in cars but no mechanical skills to speak of, so I really appreciate seeing your handiwork and the finished product. Sadly at my age I don’t have the budget to play with…but I particularly love the Rover P5B Coupe and the older Volvo’s 850/940/960 (even the V70 and older S80) I saw your partners VW Touareg for sale and if I could pull the cash together I’d be interested as I’d definitely consider buying from someone as skilled as you. I’m looking for what will probably be my last car. Calculating the cost of the restoration of the work on this particular 960 if I could find anything similar I like (in automatic)at a cheap enough purchase price I’d probably seek you out to work on it for me….what a joy that would be for me after a lifetime of driving basic old bangers. I have a 1992 940 Turbo Sedan. 145K miles. I wish I could afford to do the same kind of make over on my Volvo. The car has lived in California in its entire life, so the body has no rust, but the California sun pretty much stripped the clear coat on the paint.

One of my favourite cars as a kid, mainly due to a guy on my street owning one in dark Grey that I walked passed nearly every day and I would always just look at it, it was just a huge beautiful car. 30 years later, it's become even more desirable, he also owned a white Lotus Europa and a silver BSA Goldstar. to this day, I still consider that the best 3 vehicle collection I have seen.
