Crazy to think that in 20 something years there’s going to be videos on KZbin discussing how good southgate actually was in a retrospective view. Like how we see videos on how good someone like Romario was. By that point I doubt people will care or even remember if the football was good or not, and he’ll probably be talked about in a similar level as sir Alf Ramsey. Regardless if he deserves that or not.

Southgate was as good as his team ,,,,, rubbish
@DanTheMan2212 ай бұрын
Southgate is massively overrated! England played park teams to reach the SF in the World Cup 2018! England had Belgium in the group and played them in the 3rd place match... England lost both times! Euro finals both times easy draws and when England played one decent team... They lost! Southgate is a negative, poor manager!

There's no way in hell Southgate would've got out the Group stage of Brazil 2014 .. Italy would've beaten england 3-0, and Uruguay would've probably beaten them 4-0
@objectiveincision39702 ай бұрын
The elephant in the room nobody seems to factor in is the dirt easy qualifying groups and paths to the latter stages that Southgate's been gifted! Both 2018, 2021 & 2024 were lopsided groups & knockout stages where all the Giants were shoved into on half, whilst Southgate's england were mollycoddled with 2nd tier teams!

It's a matter of standards. If your standards are low, sure you can sit back and wait a few years trophy less all while hoping this "process" eventually leads you to something good. That might work for fan bases like Arsenal, Barcelona or even Liverpool. Hell I've even seen Man United now riding that wave in the last few years of let's get a manager in, be patient and hope for the best. If your standards a high like at Bayern Munich, Juventus or Real Madrid well patience is nonexistent. Winning Trophies - Those ARE the standards and if, as a manager, you think they're unfair then you're no good here. It's a philosophy. Some people tolerate mediocrity in hopes of something better in the future, or like Man U fans because they literally have no choice. Others have zero tolerance for it, and because of that they could burn through good managers. There is nothing wrong inside Bayern Munich. Of all the names you mentioned which one was a realistic choice? For example, Xabi Alonso would've destroyed his Leverkusen legacy if he'd just dump them after the season they just had for Bayern. No person in their right mind would do that. Which one of those coaches was even on Bayern's level? If Tuchel seems happy is because the pressure is off, he already knows he lost his job, and if he's praising Chelsea jmmm I wonder what he could be trying to do? Idk if Kompany will be good or not for Bayern, only time will tell, but I was personally left scratching my head when I saw this. I know he was a solid player, but what are his credentials to manage that club? It'll be interesting to watch.

Good video, good topic, the whole of football is being renovated by the elites that invented it to keep men childlike. (See the works of h g wells and George Bernard Shaw, the banks that own all of wallstreet through institutional shareholders to the tune of 80 Trillion in global assets are going for complete culture capture. Keep going dood

Ancelotti being 3rd or 4th best, you know he won the most UCL of all time? I think there are many world class managers. Pep, Ancelotti, Flick, Nagelsmann, Klopp, Emery, Conte, Luis Enrique. Couple emerging like Thiago Motta, Xavi Alonso, Farioli, De Zerbi

I think there are still a lot of good managers out there but it's about following the leagues where these guys break out, Inzaghi has been revolutionising Serie A and Allegri is also doing great things there. There is a sense that a bit of your research hasn't gone beyond the main headlines, Edin Terzic has quietly gotten Dortmund into the CL semi-finals, then there's Sebastian Hoeneß who has done a great job with Stuttgart this season and the only reason it isn't spoken about is because of what Alonso has done with Leverkusen. Then an FYI: Nagelsmann is managing the German national team, it's Hansi Flick that's disappeared after being sacked from that job.
