I did try to find sth worthwhile in her playing. I failed. Most overrated. Her music is sooooo boring and mis-emphasis. No way to compare with other real great female pianists such as Larrocha or Fischer. I am sure that I am not the only one who don’t favour her

She is very overrated. The only performance I prefer from her over anybody else is her Beethoven piano concerto 2 with Claudio Abbado and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. Other than that I don’t find any of her performances amusing.

I don't agree, overrated ? It's not the same style as other pianist. But I think she's right righted, authentic and incredible technique and many other things :o

One can't help but surrender to this force of nature, this piano Artist. Here she's with another legend, the excellent Conductor Seiji Ozawa. One of the best you could find for the Romantic Catalogue. His Mahler accounts are for me, one of the best Mahler to be heard. MA goes in an almost perfect dialogue with Ozawa. In which her "passion play" skills, keep revealing her piano part. Flawless, each of the piano notes are of course, very well heard. It's part of her legendary playing. Her tone pitch making her a one off, as well. ➖So, the whole is making this upload, another of her Masterwork renditions. So romantic in the slow tempos, one gets wrapped in the climax created. Thanks once more, MA. A Master among the best pianists. Am here thanking the Decca Label, for another of their great products. 🆒💜❤️😇✌️

Agreed. He was quite at home in the recording studio.
Thank you very much for this upload. Most revelatory. Have always admired him, especially his Mozart, and believe him to be amongst the kindest, most decent and honourable people in the world of music. Remembering that his family lived in Thessaloniki, we shudder at the narrow escape they had: The Nazis invaded in the early 1940s and sent all Jewish people to be killed at Auschwitz. If the Perahia family hadn’t emigrated, we would not ever have known Murray.

My pleasure. Thank you for your touching and thoughtful comment. Murray is certainly a light for the world and his fellow musicians. We are lucky to have him.
