i can tell you right now no employers are reading cover letters
@kissscareercoaching2 күн бұрын
Whether they read them or not does not matter. What matters is the application instructions. If the employer requests a cover letter, submit one.

I find indeed gets more results than applying on the employers website. I have never had any luck on LinkedIn.

Results vary. If you are getting results on Indeed, that's great!

I resigned a month ago. My boss at the time told me to stay at least one month to allow them to find my replacement so I could train them. I refused. I (partially) resigned because of some abusive practices on the employees. I knew I would spend that time overwhelmed in extended shifts and dealing with twice my responsibilities. I indeed think it's important to be professional in work environment, but some jobs are going to be highly unprofessional towards you, so you won't owe them such a big thing. You´re too kind. Best regards.
@kissscareercoaching2 күн бұрын
Good comment. You have to look after yourself first. If it's a toxic work environment it's best to leave as soon as you reasonably can.

Your scenario could be right. But there is also companies that don't bother maintaining their internal careers page and have outdated information. It could be easier for them to just update the open jobs on indeed. Remember HR people are human and are usually overworked
@kissscareercoaching2 күн бұрын
Very true. But if they have time to update job boards, and neglect their own asset (their website), I would be cautious. If HR and Tech is overworked, you most likely will be too if you work there.

How do I have to tell you that most job applications use Workdayjobs as a careers page? Useless and time-wasting pages with zero changes to get an answer

@kissscareercoaching13 күн бұрын
Everyone is after the low hanging fruit (online job ads). Few will do the work of networking and communicating with real people (the streets). Those who do the work get rewarded.

People are quick to assume that someone without a job is just lazy, but they rarely stop to think how hard it is to actually find work. The truth is, the struggle isn’t in working; it’s in the search. This world is tough enough without adding unfair judgment to the mix.
@kissscareercoachingАй бұрын
You are right, the struggle is the search. I also experienced this struggle and know what it feels like, and that's why I share job search tips and strategies.

Been there, done that. :( nothing works. Technology has ruin our way to find jobs more efficiently :(. It was easier to stop by the business and ask them for job. They would hire you in minutes or tell you to "no we have not job openings" Now days, Indeed are posting scams and ghost jobs :( You received a job notification and when you click in the link it show that the job is not available!!! What kind of game is that!! This is terrible.

Yeah. I know personally of two mega tire outfits that have permanent job listings. They interview and hire as needed and just file the rest. (trash can) Heard one of em ring around other franchises if they had an opening. It saves them reposting I guess.

This video emphasizes an important point about job searching: applying directly through company websites can greatly improve your chances of getting noticed. I’ve found this to be true, particularly when using a tool like Jobsolv. Jobsolv’s job search feature helps me quickly find relevant job openings on company websites, and its resume builder allows me to create professional, ATS-optimized resumes. Additionally, the auto-apply function saves me valuable time and effort. I highly recommend Jobsolv to anyone looking to streamline their job search process.
