Which tannery’s shell cordovan do you like the most - Horween or Rocado ?

Personally i have enjoyed horween a bit more especially their reverse. At the end of the day they are both great i would say rocado is more consistent with quality while horween feels like playing a baseball game sometimes you get a great homerun of a piece and sometimes is just a sad miss.😂

Nice review! Thanks for sharing! No way that wallet is less than a year old. I have a MB 6cc wallet that I used for almost 10 years and it looks in similar condition. Unfortunately the leather does wear bad on the edges and will look like the one on the video but after years of daily use. Also, I see it has the golden ring around the star. They don’t make them like that anymore. Recently I went to a MB boutique and had my wallet with me, the seller told me the white star from my wallet was actually made from ivory, which they don’t use anymore. If you have a chance to go to a MB boutique you might show them the wallet and see what they can tell you about it. By the looks, the wallet seems to have some decent amount of years.

Hey. Checked seems is legit, i have seen other people review and opinions are split which could mean that they have inconsistencies in their quality of these wallets. Even with heavy hardcore use a high quality leather and stiching would never come apart in a year or two.

I've had my last Mont Blanc card holder for over 7 years. I used it daily as my wallet, and after 7 years it still looked very new and the quality held up very well. I won't say it looked brand new, but you would never guess it was used for over 7 years. I only switched to another Mont Blanc card holder because I received it as a gift or I would still use the previous one. The wallet you reviewed obviously was misused and not cared for.

Hey! Might seem like it but a full grain or top grain with good stiching usually will last more than a year no sweat even with extreme hardcore use. After checking seems like they are inconsistent in the quality of their product which could explain many split opinions of this wallets.

is this not an exact copy of ashland leather Co. Capone money clip wallet?

Not at all. Facts is this design existed before the capone. This is two pockets, capone has 4. This is shinki hikaku which is a Japanese shell that ashland leather would never use cuz they only use horween shell. Also the clip is on top, ashland is on the bottom. Also the price is better than the capone price so definitely not the same. For sure both great wallets overall but personally i prefer this two pocket.

Great collection there! Currently waiting delivery of the Farrah wallet… my first money clip wallet. Glad it made your list 😊. Been using lucais wallet from JJ leathersmith for the past year. My favourite from your collection has to be the Neilson wallet in shell and brass clip. Definitely gonna be my next one!

Nice overviews on a good variety of money clips. Have you tried the Atticus money clip wallet from Sin City Leather? I recently got it and I think it's my favorite money clip so far (I have 3 others: Ashland Leather, Capone Cabin Leather Goods, and Mitchell Leather) because I like the outward facing interior pockets that are secured by the snap. The workmanship is as good as any of the others. I also like that the money clip itself is flush with the edge of the wallet, unlike the Capone and Cabin Leather Goods ones that sticks out beyond the edge of the wallet. I do like all 4 that I have though. All very nice money clips.

I have seen the Atticus but haven't tried it. Personally kind of feel like is a overhype wallet. For the price i believe there are some better options and i also don't like the snap. The pocket that are facing outward is something Cabin did and the flushed moneyclip is more of a personal anesthetic like for some. I personally love a moneyclip that pops a little from the bottom. Overall i do believe is a great moneyclip maybe in the future will check it out. Thanks for always watching!

@@KingdomLeather I'm usually not a button snap guy either, but I thought it made sense with the outward facing interior pocket design. That way you don't need to ever worry about stretching those pockets too much and have cards fall out if you didn't put enough cards back in. I thought the price was in line with the other money clips ($125 with Badalassi Carlo waxy leather), and the workmanship is definitely on par with other makers, but I only have the 3 other money clips to compare with. Anyway, if you ever do try one it would be fun to see a review.

I am 100% with you brother. Leather wallets will always be better than metal ones. Leather wallets conform to what you have in it. They are softer and even smell better than metal ones. And imo they are much classier than a metal wallet. Also metal wallets make your cards rub against each other causing wear on your cards.

Jeremy, I love your reviews. But the shipping on that wallet cost as much as the wallet itself if you order from their website. But if you order from Etsy, it gives you the real prices with free shipping. Their pricing is kind of sketchy on their own website. Honesty goes a long way.

In terms of functionality they both work the same either way. In terms of anesthetic and looks i kind of prefer the classic money clip on the bottom but that is just a preference for looks.

Some companies pre stretch the pocket by using a stick or something they can force the pockets open. But in all seriousness the definitive best way to do it is by wearing it. Nothing will beat some good wear. Sweating, friction and the oils of the hand all together do the trick for a great break in!
