Its not visarys fault he went mad, he lost everything and knew nothing but cruelty since his mother died

This needs to be shown in another series along with Roberts Rebellion. Also I'd like to know how Tytos reacted afterwards, probably weakly trying to lecture Tywin but gets owned in return and unofficially steps down as Lord of Casterly Rock. The laughing lion who was weak.

Man, Daenerys and Viserys should’ve kidnapped Jon and just take their dragons to invade summer isles instead of fighting Westeros. Repopulate the Targaryen population, a safe island territory, rebuild the empire. Summer Isle is rich in gems, spices, hard woods, and tropical animals too?

Its wild how the show absolutely flips Ellarias character around from how is in the books. Complete polar oppsites, essentialy two different people.

I love how all of the actors didn't just read the words, completely in character and stayed the course. Mark Addy made sure it was Robert talking about Robert's rebellion. It's viserys himself talking about the Targaryens. All of the spirit, bias, and pride still there

Agreed. Great history and background that makes you understand the characters much better. Tywin Lannister was a ruthless man but he had to be from an early age because his father was weak. It's back stories like these that make the series richer.

People often comment on how deranged Viserys must be to talk about his father as if he was a good and beloved ruler who was cruelly betrayed by the evil usurper and his treacherous allies, but this isn't really all that surprising when you consider a few things: 1) It is said that his mother Rhaella actively sought to shield him from his father's madness, so any memories he has of his father are likely of his more lucid moments. Considering he would naturally trust his own memories of his father over those of people who were merely courtiers or bannermen, it's no surprise he sees all accusations of Aerys as a 'Mad King' to be nothing more than slander. It's also not surprising that he probably looks back on his early childhood, when he was a royal prince of the realm with a family and a comfortable life, through some very thick rose-tinted glasses. 2) He was raised by Targaryen loyalists, many of whom had followed the royal family into exile and were bitter at the loss of their lands/status at the hands of Robert, so he was only ever exposed to a highly exaggerated, very pro-Targaryen and viciously anti-Baratheon view of the rebellion. It's not surprising therefore that his recollection of events has been warped to the point that it seems like the ramblings of a delusional madman.

So bascially Tywin's father was like Henry III of England while Tywin was like Edward I of England and the Reynes were sort of like Simon De Montford.
