Looks like you did a good job! We've had a few mishaps with leaving the freezer ajar. Now we have a rule..you open it, you lock it! Lol. We keep a freezer key on one of those hook magnets on the side of the freezer so we hopefully dont forget.

Never give up the prayers at the end. I see a lot of channels in the farm community, and they claim to be Christ like. But never hear His Name proclaimed. Love to have some of those beautiful chickens. They look delicious.

Your mustard is sure looking good. Mine got eaten up by insects. Have you used any kind of insecticide, or anything ?
@ToTheTableHomesteadАй бұрын
We don't use any insecticide, but if you wanted to try something you could try Organic Neem Oil diluted in water. It is organic and natural and works really well as a natural deterrent!

Okra also freezers really well! I just cut the stem end off, cut it into 1/2” pieces and freeze them in bags or, glass jars. Okra’s delicious added to veggie/tomato based soup! I’ve heard that you can cut it and freeze in a bag directly in a coating of flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper. When you want to fry or, bake some… just toss the bag around a bit, pull out the amount needed and prepare. The rest can be stored and added to right there in the freezer. Thank you for witnessing for our Lord and Savior at the end of your video! I enjoyed praying with you in previous videos, as well! God Bless You! In Jesus’ name! ❤️🙏❤️

Okay… all caught up on all your videos! Noticed that comments are disabled on a couple of them. I don’t know what the issue might have been - but, rather than disabling comments, you may want to just address the issues. I know that the amount of engagement (positive and negative comments) on your videos is super important to get your channel shared out the community. Will be praying that all engagement is a teachable experience for everyone interacting! ❤❤❤ Keep going… Y’all are doing a great job!!!

🥚🐣🐥🐓 Awww… I just love seeing the littles start do all the chickeny things that chickie babies do! Do you have a compost area to put the paper toweling to finish breaking down? Haven’t seen your area for composting, yet. How much acreage do y’all have to homestead on? You have an amazing place! God Bless Y’all!!!

👋 Sooo glad to have found y’all this morning! Wow, what a beautiful place! You’ve put a lot of love into it, in 3 short years! We’re in central Georgia, east of Athens, in zone 8a. I love to find homesteads in 8b, because I can follow along in the spring about 2 weeks behind and I’m on time for our area. In the fall, it’s the reverse… and, I have to get things in 2 weeks ahead of your zone. It really helps me stay on track! It’s just my husband and I (aged 72 and 59) on 11 1/2 acres. We’ve only been here 2 years and are off to a slow start. So far, we have the beginning of an orchard, 6 chickens, 4 bantams, quail and a large garden space that we’re working on amending to begin planting in the spring. We’re very God centered as well and very much appreciated your prayer at the end of your video! My prayer is that likeminded people find your channel and that it would grow by His hand! In Jesus’ name - Amen! ❤️🙏❤️

Just had the easiest batch of chicks yet. Hatched off 16 a couple of weeks ago, they were under heat for a week and had all of it they wanted. They all pinned out quick as I've ever seen. 4 Ameraucana's still have some down left on them but not much. Temps in the 90's I moved them out to the release cage in one of my runs. They were there for a day and I jacked the corner so they could get in and out. Watched them for a bit to see all was OK. My birds are so used to having chicks around all summer, they pay them no attention at all unless they get in the way and a quick peck on the head sends them on their way. They were having a grand ole time today exploring the run. One trying to catch a ride on a hens back and another tried hitching a ride with my lead rooster. Poor ole Rooty was like do these little brats ever go away.... lol Few more days and they'll be out running around in the yard with the 6 I ordered a week ahead of their hatch. Last chicks for the year. Enjoy em while you got em!

Nice brooder boxes. We usually just use big metal horse toughs because thats what we have. We also made 3 large wood & hardware cloth cages ( like rabbit hutches). We use the chick brooder heat plates that the chicks can get underneath. If Im lucky, I can get a broody mama to hatch them out/adopt them for me. A few of my Key West hens would hatch or adopt a rock if I can get them in early enough lol.

Hi, We are also in the FL Panhandle. Same zone too:) We have a farm with dairy goats, pigs, poultry, etc. We love it up here. Very quiet and beautiful. We also moved here 3 yrs ago from the East coast of FL. The Panhandle is the best part of Florida, we can be at sugar sand beaches very quickly and still live in a farm in the woods!
