It appears to be a juvenile Band-Tailed Pigeon based on the visual indicators I'm seeing. Doves & pigeons can be very sweet, very loyal companions, & the "aggressively nibbling" on your fingers may be wither the bird attempting to get you to feed it or to show affection/want of attention. I had a Mourning dove for many years that I raised from the time she was around 1.5 weeks old (someone found her after she had fallen from her nest), & she was an absolute delight. She loved playing with a hanging bell she would grab & jiggling around, & had a small ball containing a bell she would play with. I hope your new feathered companion continues to visit you, as there is something wonderful about befriending a wild creature that comes & goes as it pleases, sort of an animal of two worlds, as it were.

It is a baby dove you can tell it is a baby by the black on the tip of the beak 🥰.It must f just fled the nest and your now its best friend lol. Be sure to leave some seed out but word to the wise it will leave a nice pile everywhere it sits day after day you will be cleaning it if you want it to stay around JS too cute .
