The problem I have is that two lawyers at three different places who are giving me different stories. Two are telling me different time lines ( 5 and 2 ) before applying for citizenship and the other tells me that there are no routes to citizenship after living there with a "retirement" visa over two years and is not possible to become a citizen with that visa. So, it's getting a little frustrating. Is there any way to be sure of what the actual requirements are? Que loco.

Im Peruvian and i can tell you it's a beautiful country with so much potential... but horrible place to retire!!! Crime is crazy, politicians are horrible, and customer service is lacking!! The lighter skinned elite have been nasty to the poor for centuries, therefore there is in born dislike for lighter skin people in general( of course not everyone, but it's there). I would recommend the Philippines, in general the people are kind, inviting. They speak english in general. All government paperwork is in English. You can buy a condo but not land unfortunately unless married to a philipina. I can guarantee there's more bureaucracy in Peru than any country in the world. You'll pull your hair out with government stupidity..

Thank you for the informative video. I just got back from 2 months trip around South West part of China. Everything is cheap, clean, and transportation is #1 convenient, fast, accessible. I felt safe to walk alone days and nights and hopped on the public buses to go to my interest places. Most my friends already bought their retirement home there. After watching your video, I probably will visit Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam soon.
