Yes and in fact, if combined with quelaag skip and asylum skip, this can be used to kill BOC as the first boss.

In PTDE, the first character is always the default selected one so to get faster quitouts, I always ensure my first slot is empty by deleting it before a run.

Man, I love Dark Souls and how it's still being pushed to the limit 12 years after release. So entertaining to see that almost the entire run is vastly different in terms of routing than the last "standard" I remember, just when I thought that one was sort of already a perfected form. Great run.

I still think back to the record from 2 years ago as one of the most flawless speedruns I've seen in any game, so I'm assuming this insane time save comes mostly from new tech

Yeah the 19:49 was incredibly good. This new route saves about a minute so this will be improved down to hopeful the 18:50 range.
