This modem would work for either band - it's also a modulator.

Hi Marc, the modem works in any band C, X, Ku, Ka,... it has L-band in and outputs and is interoperable with any type of BUC/LNB. It can work both in a Dialog VSAT network or as stand alone SCPC link for a simple point-to-point link

We provide ground infrastructure equipment, so we don’t compete with any satellite. Newtec played a key role in the world’s first demonstration of 5G backhaul over a LEO satellite with global satellite operator, Telesat, Vodafone and the University of Surrey as stated in Kevin Steens’s Year in Review: www.idirect.net/2019/12/09/2019-year-in-review/ and we’ve talked about our vision to be multi-access and multi-orbit before.

1:46 Not sure that the Square Kilometre Array radio telescope has much to do with banking. All radio communications gear operating between 100 MHz and 22.5GHz is forbidden in the large radio-quiet area surrounding it.
