That play that he heard 15:40 ist the wheel bearing which can be adjusted in 5 minutes. Its a mercedes thing and the sound ist so distinctive i can tell. Also the timing chain rattle might be the reason it was so cheap. Some of the mercedes Engines in that era had an issue with the balance shaft gear wearing pre maturely which, in order to be fixed, needs the engine to be pulled. It will need a new balance shaft and timing set. Also while you in there almost an entire gasket set 👍 Dealer price for that repair is around 5-6 grand. Also these engines have problems with the intake manifold. Not that much work but expensive part. (Bearings for the runner flaps wearing out causing the flaps to brake apart) Edit: Should have watched further; Oil leaks rear main could be but its rare. Probably more the small valve cover gaskets. Don’t reuse the screws and only put on new, also 4nm. If you do more they simply rip apart.

We've been a zafira family but pov spec bangers, the 1.8TD that uses the petrol block died after towing a caravan up a hill..where the temps rose faster than the revs, then the misfiring pov 1.6 that slowly ceased, scoring the cams, ceased rings, bottom end showing signs it was about to go. for about 2 months it had ATF in the cylinders almost every night..and to be fair, after some sensor work, it picked up enough power to kill itself faster..it would be hillarious to own a Zafira GSi as a first car..id love this blue one but we're used to a zafira costing <£700 😂

Crossfire is a great car; pulls well and with the manual shift (which can be a b*tch) get it right and it launches quick. Sure, its design is marmite but seriously people getting excited about a vx van with windows is laughable. Incidently, the R170 slk is another car that gives loads of go for not a lot of money. The clarkson jibe was because chrysler refused to pay for his (then) wife and family to travel and stay with him over in the states for the official launch. The admitted years later it was not a bad car but hey all the sheep follow what the tv tells them.
