I just got one of these projectors from an old friend. I know nothing about them. I started troubleshooting and the solenoid plastic piece is intact but when I hit the advance button, it just click and I can see the plunger move ever so slightly. So my conclusion is, the solenoid is bad. Would you concur?

I bought this and like everyone else says the brass ball is to big to fit, I used a dremel and grinded it down a little. snaps right in! still getting the p2076 check engine light on the 2011 chevy cruze

That’s because the runner motor is likely dead. Verify movement with load applied.

Ordered mine from eBay and literally installed in less than 3 minutes! “Check Engine” light gone and remote start feature works again😀 Thank you!! The old arm lower knuckle was worn down to a nub (janky!) which makes the new brass one a huge major improvement. Great product!

literally just ordered this, now I see your video. Thanks:) Gonna save me a ALOT of money. LOL Already checked, it's broken back there. Threw my car into limp mode, shop told me I needed new transmission and a new intake manifold. I think I'll take this fix ANY day!:) Note, transmission works, shady mechanics....

Wow....great step by step. My Kodak Carousel quit advance & reverse. It's over 40 yrs old. I'm giving it a shot. I have to watch 1,350 my Dad's family slides from 1953 to 1970s. I'm ordering the repair kit.

I've taken two of these things apart in the hopes of trying to fix them, but I always run into a problem with the plunger. Such a pain to fix.

I'm having trouble snapping the male/brass end into the lower part of the manifold. either the stud is too big or i'm not getting enough leverage to snap it into place. any advice?

Yes, take the old one off and put the new one. It just snaps in, no tools required.

I got mine in the mail yesterday. For those asking I just pulled the old one off and snapped the new one in it’s place. I didn’t have to take anything apart. Not sure if you’re supposed to do that, but I did and its worked so far. Check engine light is gone now. Big thanks to this company for the part.

Does the motor need to come off the unit? Or can you replace the gear and leave the motor attached to the actuator rod?

You have to take off the motor as you have to open motor and install this metal gear. Also make sure to put good amount of grease in gear box.

Yes, you can install without taking off intake manifold and without any tools, Just snap it.

@@bxparts1659 Can you make a video showing it being done with the manifold still in the car? None of the videos online show that very well and I cannot find a mechanic to do it because GM doesn't sell the arm and they won't work with customer-provided parts.
