Honestly I absolutely adored anki overdrive when I was ten, but even then I recognised many of its flaws. It makes me so happy that other people out there have yet to forget it, and that it's still getting a successor

People are now starting to buy used tracks cheaply, but instead of using the stock cars they use Turbo Racing 1/76 and LRDC 1/64 micro r/c cars.

DDL is mostly dead. Their support responses are copy pasted, and their servers are down for over a year now

Thanks so much for making this. Got a hugely overpriced set a few years back as a Christmas gift to fill some old childhood memories of their commercials, and they were garbage. Dead app, broken cars, barely working system, etc. etc. Had no idea what happened until I realized they must have abandoned ship or went bankrupt. At least there’s some new hope though!

I’m so glad my video found an audience tbh I never would’ve expected this to do as well as it did. There is hope for anki tho, so far no updates from them yet but I will make a follow up if anything changes

There was a glitch or a bug when I was playing with my brother I was playing as Poison ivy i was walking on the rollercoaster, when suddenly a copy of me punched my character and caused the game to crash, we played on Wii I can't find anyone else finding this

Man I loved Anni overdrive, i got it for Christmas when i was a kid and got great memories with it. By far the biggest problem wasn’t the battery life but the missing traction of the cars. They just wouldn’t stay on the track and you’d spend most of the time putting them back on instead of playing. And if you played the campaign you could just win if you didn’t put the enemy’s vehicle on the road agin because they would just drive so fast they dropped off. If they fix that it would be an amazing game for little kids like I was. I also remember the big trucks they brought out. They were even faster for some reason with better weapons and their own overdrive mode. That didn’t help eather. In my opinion you would need to build in little low resolution leds or such to signal a Landmine or the lasers you shoot. And make the race track way more magnetic and maybe put magnets in the tires as well. I don’t want to see this game die out it has so much potential

I’m glad I’m not the only one with the track LED idea. Of course that would get rid of the imagination part of it as well as the concept of remembering where mines were placed. Adding magnets to the track and tires as well as LED’s would make an already expensive product extremely pricy to the point of not being worth it at all. Most already saw it as an overpriced gimmick toy. With the track and cars requiring consistent cleaning to stay on track, it honestly isn’t suited to kids since they won’t want to. It’s in a weird spot between being hobby grade (in terms of maintenance) and a toy for kids. The only reason I enjoyed them fully the whole time I used them when I was younger was because I had already enjoyed hobby trained and rc cars which require care and maintenance which most kids don’t care for. The product worked well but is just too niche and expensive to really work honestly, at least the way it is now.

I'm still hopeful on Infinidrive. I just bought the entire Fast and Furious set at the thrift store for $13 about an hour ago! lol Most of of cars have better battery life than others which is why I still look for them to play with them. But yeah, Thanks for the update!
