Ones I believe you gravely overlooked are Voltron, the Lighthouse, and the DnD set. Each are just incredible builds, even w/o knowing the source material and so fun to have in a collection. Sets that I think shouldn’t have been made are any that are based on a tv show. I LOVE The Office, but all the show sets are not practical for a city and really don’t encourage play, just dust. Even the incredible “Sitcomplex” on rebrickable makes it so you don’t ever see the scenes inside. Overrated. I will also ignore all your comments about the Tree House, because it was my favorite set until the lighthouse came out.

Hey so coming from a guy that listens to the podcast while at work I'm not sure what happens to the volume when uploading to Spotify but when I listen on there compared to on here the volume drops quite abit and makes it hard to listen to. Also from a guy that also listens via earbuds the yelling into the mic could be kept to a minimum. Love listening and you are always informative but some I have had to skip due to either of those issues.

Call me crazy and dont take my word for it, however I have some memory so as few people I know that we seen these minifigs being like a rare promo item in 1990 only, either that or China made a really high quality knockoff of it. Overall I could bet I seen them before inrl like someone had it as a kid but got sold along all the other collection of LEGO. Edit: what I am getting at is that back in a day there was a polybag for EVERY minifig there is, so as keychain variants too, often they were not even numbered just had the copyright and LEGO logo and that is it

That "trans neon green" is NOT the current recipe. I don't know what happened but even within later 90s sets it was more diluted and more transparent. I really miss color themed sets with more common bricks. As others have said, the minute Lego hit Star Wars in the 90s we started getting too many one use pieces. Even when making my own designs I always started with the colors that would make the theme. Now with hundreds of colors, making a color theme is very hard because you have fewer of each. Also, the plastic seems much softer and more brittle than what I had as a kid. I think there are also too many smooth sloped pieces.
