How do you ou ensure the end of the stitch doesn’t come out when cutting it close? In sewing you’d do a double backstitch
@plan.bКүн бұрын
Watch from 7:19. In the last stitch, apply glue to the thread and then pull the thread. This attaches the thread to the leather from the inside. When cutting the thread, pull the thread and cut it as short as possible. Next, put some glue on the end of the awl and push the thread inside along with the glue. This method is also used by Hermes. One thing to be careful of is that threads made of nylon or polyester cannot be fixed with glue. So we melt it and finish it. You should use thread made of cotton or hemp, or a mixed thread. I hope this is the answer you were looking for. I used a translator. Please understand if there is anything strange. Thank you for watching! :)

3. Por último, está la “wax coat”. - Este químico proporciona una capa transparente. Es similar al acabado con cera. Lo uso para un acabado natural. Consulte el vídeo a continuación. I am new to the hobby and just found your videos, thanks for making them, they are fantastic and so well edited! I had a beginner question, where do you get the white pieces you use to mark the shapes on the leather and what are they made out of (plastic, cardboard)? I saw the pdf oatterns you sell but didn't see those pieces for marking the leather anywhere..
@plan.b18 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching and complimenting. I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly. I'm not sure exactly what the white pieces refer to. If my answer is wrong, please tell me the time when the white pieces appear. I pasted the pattern in the PDF onto thick paper and cut it into that shape. You can choose thick paper according to your preference. I hope this answer is correct.
