I use three materials when finishing leather cross sections. Thank you for watching. 1. Tokonole 2. Water-based Glue + water (1:1 ratio) - This mixture helps the last applied chemical to adhere well to the leather. 3. Lastly, there is “wax coat”. - This chemical provides a transparent coating. It is similar to finishing with wax. I use it for a natural finish. I hope this explanation helps. 1. It will vary depending on the method of making, but if the entire process is done manually, it is expected to take approximately 3 hours.

I had a beginner question, where do you get the white pieces you use to mark the shapes on the leather and what are they made out of (plastic, cardboard)? I saw the pdf oatterns you sell but didn't see those pieces for marking the leather anywhere..

If my answer is wrong, please tell me the time when the white pieces appear. I pasted the pattern in the PDF onto thick paper and cut it into that shape. You can choose thick paper according to your preference. I hope this answer is correct.

Nice work, you spent a lot of time cutting out those pieces very straight just to have to cut them off again when trimming them to match. And you even rounded the edges before you glued everything together and had to cut most of them off and re-sand and shape the finished project. I am learning as I go so thanks for the video; now I know to plan my projects before I attempt them.
