I attended St Augustine High School in San Diego in the 1960s. Victor Buono was arguably our most famous alumnus. Of course actor/directors Tony Bill and Greg Nava also attended. I did see Victor junior once walking outside at our school about 1967. He had graduated about a decade before and by then was famous to us. As I recall, he was large but also dressed a little foppishly. One of his relatives has recently opined on You Tube that Victor Buono senior was part of a mafia hit on Tony Mirabile, for which he did seven years at San Quentin. So allegedly it was intended as a hit all along. Victor senior served for eight years in the San Diego police in the 1940s, partly on the vice squad. Tony Mirabile owned interests in several downtown clubs that were regulated by the vice squad. Victor senior resigned after eight years but at some point was able to buy a house right on mission bay just north of the Bahia Hotel. Who knows what all that means. Victor senior was also arrested by US Customs investigators in 1955 for smuggling in parrots from Mexico. Colorful is one way to describe him. Apparently father and son remained close all their lives. Just as Victor senior was going to prison in 1959, his Old Globe actor son received a break and was cast in one episode of the weekly detective drama 77 Sunset Street. Other TV roles followed. Within a couple of years he received an academy award nomination for best supporting actor in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane in the 1963 oscars (Ed Begley won). After that he was cast into two Frank Sinatra films, then as King Tut on Batman. Did mafia connections help his career? Horse heads in beds, etc? Also interesting is that I attended St Augustine with the grandson of LA mafia boss Jack Dragna. That alumnus has since died but did confirm his relationship for me at a reunion. Jack Dragna died when his grandson was about four or five years old.

Hi Dear How are you? Great. Your Content is fantastic, But your video SEO optimization section area is not perfectly up to date. Out of 100 that's score is 27.9 (at least 90+ SEO score is recommended), that's why your video is not reaching out to the people and you have not many subscribers, views, likes, watch time and comments. I can help you grow your KZbin channel. If you don't mind can we talk about it for a while?

I had "unspecified hypothyroidism" for 7 years and had no idea I had an autoimmune disorder. Doctors treated me like I was crazy when I started to have chronic pain, memory loss, worsening depression, and all these other symptoms that started shortly after the hypothyroidism symptoms. I recently figured out that my grandmother more than likely had hashimotos and that's what caused her RA and early onset Alzheimer's and I probably have hashimotos too. Switched doctors and they ran the antithyroid antibody tests and diagnosed me with hashimotos this month. I just assumed it caused dementia because I knew my grandma had a B12 deficiency and mine was low and learned that could cause dementia and that's where me trying to figure out what was wrong with me started. Thank God for all the KZbinrs for their content because if it wasn't for them, I would have never figured it out. What my grandma went through was terrifying and I wouldn't wish that I'm on my worst enemy.

After only 3 months in business, Barn House BBQ has already changed hands and it's menu. No longer a true smokehouse, the flavors have flown away. Too bad, it had such great potential. Bye-bye Barn House.

Traditional Judaism believes in a heaven and a hell - maybe not a physical entity - but we most definitely believe in that. This clergyman isn’t orthodox or steeped in Jewish traditions

Joe is one of the unsung heroes of news in San Diego for many decades. Aside from his contributions to the Reader, most people do not realize a significant amount of the TV news you saw was shot by Joe. Amazing talent with a camera. I'll never forget the nights spent in the desert with him shooting meteor showers!

Evil evil people in control. The country needs to wake up. Just like the Maui fires were not an accident. It’s called population control. An in Maui all the stars want all the property and views. Oprah has a damn multimillion dollar mansion there and nothing of hers was touched. Make that make sense. They also held water to those hit the worst. Why does everyone think the town was decimated?
