Awesome sir. You are a credit to our hobby. Really incredible job. I find Osprey books to be a treasure trove of information and colour plates. Also any magazine articles or books all the better.

very nice work..wonder if you can help with the saddle of the dragoon which has the saddle pockets or pouches over the sheepskin..looks like the back row second from left,, sheep skin is white with yellow teeth, the square part is green but there is another part over that and i cant find a reference to what color that is..hope this makes sense|! .
@rettson2228 күн бұрын
Are u taking about the squares around the edges? It is the colour of the regiment. Then u have wool over the saddle. Then u have the back half is green and line with a silver colour. If that makes sense.

Wow, great video, great work. These Dragoons look superb. The only Victrix kit I have is the Anglo-Saxon Huscarls, but I have wanted to get more of their superb figures for ages, now. I'm a kit basher and magpie skirmish game player, mainly twentieth century and sci-fi, although I also play the fantasy rank and flank games Oathmark and Kings Of War (the Huscarls are for my Northern Alliance army). Anyway, I'm thinking of getting the Dragoons or some other Napoleonic kit for...my Wood Elf force. I think a head swap with a load of helmeted heads from an Oathmark Elf Infantry set would fit well. Green and yellow/gold braid uniforms, replace some holstered carbines with bows...if not, they might work as is with a random human Ambush force. Who knows? Watched to see what they looked like, and they look pretty good. Enough rambling - thanks for your enthusiastic, entertaining video! Subbed. Cheers from Kernow.

After I base cavalry, but before flocking, I usually use plumbers epoxy(a fix-it-stik from Lowe's, 8 bucks for a huge stick) to fill in the area between model bases to make the ground level. you can also press an eraser from a pencil in the still unset putty to make hoof prints. Later fill in the 'hoofprints' with water effects at the end to simulate muddy ground.
