But what’s the next step? Surely the top layer is the only layer that’s gonna show. How do you now cut between scenes? I think the multicam way is easier than this

If you follow the instructions in the video, I take all the clips out of the synchronized compound clip, after doing so, all clips are editable and the top layer is not the only clip to show.. you probably over looked this step in the video, shown at timestamp 3:10 also for a little more background, I’ve used this technique for years and I shoot around 100+ music videos a year I can attest that it is indeed easier than multi cam, you can take a look at some of my work on my channel, more than 90% of the videos on there were made using “synchronize” I also have videographers who learned under me as apprentices and I taught them this method, they now have successful music video production companies, and I promise u they won’t start a video without doing this method. It saves tons of time, you may need to learn how to use it better before u enjoy using it more than multi cam.
