actually, there are easier ways, but it's app dependent. In Spotify for example: 1. touch the "phone" icon 2. touch the (louder) or (softer) button. but that's not using a System interface. There's probably an app or shortcut assignment for the buttons to use that would work. Haven't found one of those yet though

Also, you can learn to become an Android developer in create your own app and then once you become certified you can place it on the Google Play store and then you can be able to control your volume however you want simple right😂

Go to the settings not the one with the menu key on the remote but the one with the gear go to Sound and scroll down and you'll find Audio Only. This worked on the one that has Google . I hope it helped out.
