I’m unable to use resin, since I have a lung condition. So can I use a thick gloss over my surface instead. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Thank you for that cool tip. I have found that using varnish as a basecoat prior to applying my stencil lines definitely makes working easier. My question is how do you apply stencils/grid lines on top of the resin or do you freehand your designs?

I just use a coat of black acrylic first on the item i am going to use, wood, paper, stone, glass etc. way cheaper then i resin the finished product, turns out mahvelousssssss

If you don’t have a silicone mat, will wax paper work for setting stones on to dry?

Oh! You just answered my question about what happens if you don’t do the second side of the petal! Thank you!
@mariegoble71386 ай бұрын
After your darkest pink color, you did one really small white dots (just before you started the aqua color) first on one side, giving a very cool looking effect, then you went back and did the other side before beginning the aqua. What would happen if you DIDN’T fill in second side? How’s would that change the pattern? What could be done to keep moving on from there to keep going and growing the pattern? (I hope this makes sense).

I LOVE this tutorial! I’m very new to dotting. The way you get up close with the camera while you are working is REALLY helpful! You also show your work from up above and further away so the overall piece can be seen. I learned a LOT today - thank you! You have a new fan and subscriber.😊

I. Hi Hi, how do you achieve such a high gloss with the resin? Also how do you finish off the back of stones. Love your work.

I work a lot with wood ornaments and I find I have a problem all the time with imperfect dots. I also resin first and it does help a lot.
