❤ I think you’ve touched on it, perhaps it goes back to the third century when the Romans dictated what church should look like. Is it possible that the Romans scholars compiled scripture to suit and fit their Empirical style of conduct into the church? In order to fix some thing chronic you first have to identify where the problem comes from. In a way, I think you do miss it, scripture tells us we should be “taught by God”. how is the church to learn from God without a fivefold Ministry. Ephesians 4:11-13 😮You are correct to identify man-made church or what I call “church American style “. 😢 I think a better description of what is lacking is the anointing, Spiritual gifts, edification, the genuine article or power of God displayed through God’s people from God to the surrounding community. Some might say this is the progression of the spiritual awakening prophesied in the end time last days. Some say his return is eminent.🎉🎉🎉

I think the stat about people feeling the church isnt relevant is so telling. Church use to serve literal and very tangible functions that were central to the community they were in. That's why churches and church leaders are the backdrop to some of the most influential events but also mundane things throughout American history. Paul Revere's rides, Rev Dr Martin Luthor King, but also churches doubling as the school house in prairie communities Churches are nowhere near as central to thier actual communities as they once were. Comunity is what made the early church thrive. The most that the community at large gets now from its local church is a trunk or treat or some other annual outreach events a couple times a year. This is even more insulting because we are at a place where the evangelical church today claims to be the authority on nearly every aspect of american life inside and outside of the church. "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care". Yet for all it's claims to know the answers to every problem, there isn't really an issue that we can say Evangelicalism has actually solved in the US. In fact, I'd argue that in most cases the evangelical stance is terribly short sighted and actually makes the problem worse which reveals that it is man made and not from God.Thats probably why we see people thinking they can find God elsewhere. The biggest thing the church is offering right now doesn't seem to be from Him at all so people are looking elsewhere.

Because the church has nothing to offer that the world doesn’t already offer. American church are run like a capitalist business. Meeting once a week for 40 minute sermon just isn’t going to cut it anymore because it’s not serving people’s needs. If the church starts making itself uncomfortable again, and starts addressing current issues that people are facing, I think you will see people returning to church.

I heard the love for our God in this gentleman's voice. I'm a children's ministry teacher teaching How Great is our God, this is an awesome tool.

You're straight on point. One promise really keeps me up: the gates of hell can't prevail. All my life I've been surrounded by people who had never heard of New Testament and had no interest. So I know that it is really good to have faithful people around. And it is a luxury today. In the end, it's all only about you and your choice, not others. If no one goes to church, there's still you who can! So keep it up brothers!
