Totally. Was still hoping maybe Ja'qen would make an appearance in season 8... alas; shame that arya didnt even use her face shifting ability even once in final season either. Big disappointment.

@@vintagecottonon Ok so he was supposed to appear, but it would throw Arya's character in the garbage because the twist was that when she left Jaqen would appear and reveal that Arya was the waif all along, and the meaning of "You're trully no one" is that the waif cutted her own face and replaced it with Arya's. This would make it so much worse. But here is my ideal ending: Arya on the boat looking at the sea while everyone runs around the ship to make sure everything is in order when a crewmate approaches her and questions "Where are we headed." and she answers "No one knows." and then the voice of the crewmate changes to Jaqen's as he says "A man understands." and then when she turns he gives her his signature nod and walks back to the crew.

@@yamitaicho9100 wow, That is a intigruiging theory! Sounds a lot better than what d&d ended up serving to us anyway. I also had my suspicions about the waif and what really went down in braavos. My theory was: the waif wasn't a real person, but instead a projection/hallucination of Arya's split personality and her inner struggle to either completely relinquish her stark identity-- thus becoming no-one-- or staying true to stark roots. So when she killed the waif, it was like she finally decided her path, and she chose Arya Stark of Winterfell. Maybe quite farfetched :P
