My live oak was getting beat up by one of these so I went to Hobby Lobby and got some mirrors about the size of a quarter. A string and a hot melt glue gun worked great. I put the string between two of the mirrors and glued them together. Just hung them on the tree and dangled around the trunk. The bird put skid marks in the sky trying to get away from it. How ever a blue bird has decided to fight the bird in the mirror.

37:18 sorry, these are actually Tundra Swans in the picture. The black between the bill and the eye is thicker than on a Trumpeter Swan and Tundra Swans have yellow on their bill near their eye, which I can see on these swans

Not millions of yrs. Try about 6000 yrs & 4000+ approximately since the flood. All people have to do is open their eyes and it's obvious.

When I was bush hogging one time I seen one take off in front of the tractor so I stopped the tractor got off and went after it was going to catch it and bring it back to the house and turn it loosen the barn then things are really fast after I chased it just for a little bit it turned around and started after me and for some dumb reason for a split second there I turned around and started to run the opposite way LOL but I took back off after it and I never could catch it they can outrun me easily.

Why would the last update come before all the leaves have hit peak (according to your map)? I was hoping for some intel to see if any place is still pretty this weekend.

We provide a final update as we enter into peak fall color season across the state. As of last week (and according to our fall color map) 75% of Ohio was already at peak fall color. Thanks for watching!

There was a phrase with the Lakota Nation on Standing Rock during the time when the pipeline was going in. The phrase was "MiniWiconi" and it says "Water Is Life" without it nothing exists. ❤

We have a couple of great horned owls in our backyard/next door neighbor’s yard, have only heard them. I wish we could see them but we live in a woods and it’s too dark at night when they’re more active.

20:38 Um, Caesar Creek State Park is in Clinton and Warren county. Not Clinton and Wayne county. Wayne county is in northeastern Ohio. I live only a few miles from the park and hike the trails several days per week. Loads of fossils in the overflow area.

I agree knowing or being familiar with trees on your property is an essential first step. Being able to spot obvious defects becomes a lot easier. Then engaging with professionals when things or diagnosis is beyond your skill level becomes easier too

For other's looking for more information like I was, I recently found out that you need at least two Hazelnut shrubs in the area that are genetically different, like each one grown from it's own seed and not just a root cutting from the same individual. As the plant needs to cross pollinate with a different individual to make its produce. Root cuttings can work, but you just got to make sure they are from two different individuals. So, ask these important questions before buying from a nursery, so you don't run into non-productive hazelnuts years down the road. They should know if their plants are seed grown or just all clones from the same plant.
