Steven Tyler far superior frontman and singer than Chris Robinson. Steven just took over the band and the show.

Hmm, I wonder if Chris Robinson could handle vocal duties for Journey?? When he first started singing this, he sounded a bit like Steve Perry! Steven Tyler sounds just as good as he did in 1973! Im sure it's very difficult to get through a whole night's set, much less a whole tour, with his vocal cord problems, but most guys his age have to transpose the songs to a lower key to sing, not him...and not Mick J either!

It`s sad he had to retire but it`s better to do that than to let your ego drag the band`s legacy to the dirt, like Paul Stanley did for over a decade.

Tyler only had roughly a third of his voice here. Falsetto doesn't seem working at all, and raspy but bright tenor tone-which is his signature sound-is replaced with some cranky, hoarse vocals. Lower notes still sound intact and healthy, though. Still sounding like a professional, but nowhere near his former standard. If Aerosmith decided to resume the tour, they must've come up with Whitesnake strategies. Hiring a competent backup singer to do the heavy liftings. Tyler can stay in the lower area where he still sounds like himself, just focusing on his frontman job. Instead, they just called quit. Honestly I appreciate that decision.

I’ve been seeing Steven and Aerosmith since 1975. I would’ve taken him any old way,but I’m sure with his degree of professionalism he felt he couldn’t do the last tour justice. Sad to see it end. True legendary showman

Wait, i thought Steven Tyler is supposed to have lost his Voice and therefore there will be no more Aerosmith. But Now This Video Footage, taken just resently with him, Singing? ..this doesn't sound like a man whose lost his voice to me. Maybe I'm a little late to the Party. Would someone please Explain to me what the fuck is going on?🛬💥
@Nei-mq1go2 ай бұрын
@benwright6330 Steven is a perfectionist and if you look in the comments a few familiar with his vocals over his career have astutely pointed out that there is a change. There is a different gargley hoarseness with his low end vocals - not previously there and he is avoiding his trademark falsetto scream at the end of certain words in the song. He noticably had to hold back at these notes with what were previously just muscle memory to him. I have seen Aerosmith over 25 times and can say even when his vocals were overused for an entire tour his vocal fatigue sounded different than what I am hearing on this performance. He had a great run and did the right thing rather than do a tour with backing vocals. I commend him

Saw Aerosmith in 1978 and 1997. In 78 Tyler was hit in face by a bottle just as they were starting nobody's fault the walked off stage. Bummed me out. This was at spectrum in Philadelphia
