It's great when an artist/band/person does not announce the song title and author they are covering. Because very often the audience doesn't know. Generic talent, but I don't think they should worry cause it's a limitless ceiling for people doing their best behind and on the shoulders of those who did it way better way before and also a limitless ceiling for shit comments online AND coming from the people on stage. Coming on stage like people owe you something, then trying to win them over with a couple of covers? Meh. Trying to figure out this song. Far as I can tell I think it's a modal tune in A, the guitar's just playing A and Em, but her voice goes to the A7 on the, "pair o wollen socks they wear the year round" part. I can piece together the banjo out of sawmill but the fiddle is a mystery to me.

Everybody gets a chance to get spotlighted…except Jan (discounting the bass player who changes out ‘bout as often as I change drawers). You’re either gonna have to hogtie Jan and force him to start sangin’ or let him do an extended run on that magic fiddle. With the amazing ear he’s got, you just know he’s got a lot more he’s holding back. You all know how exceptional he is, so just don’t fail to show him the proper appreciation.
