While Brazil does not currently require proof of yellow fever vaccination for entry, some countries may ask for it if you're transiting through or returning to a country with vaccination requirements. Hi there, great question. To specify, starting April 10, 2025, U.S. citizens will need a visa to enter Brazil, regardless of the purpose of travel. Canadian citizens with ordinary passports can visit Brazil without a visa until April 10, 2025. After this date, they will need an eVisa. Keep a close for updates on the countries government website as well - travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/Brazil.html

Lula is an idiot. He wants Americans to get visas because Brazilians need visas to go to the U.S.A. Just imagine if the Philippines, Haiti, and Thailand had such a stupid policy. The Brazilian goverment is failing bigtime, poverty is rampant. They should focus on encouraging wealthy foreingers to visit and inject badly needed money into their economy. This policy does not encourage reprocity, the U.S. is not suddenly going to give Brazilians visa free visits like the Chileans get. They first need to improve their country to earn that privelage. 4:41

So I have a question. I'm already in Brazil and entered with just my passport as it is not April 10th yet. Because I am already in the country as it stands can I request an additional 90 day extension without the eVisa being that I'm already here? What happens if you buy your flight tickets, apply for the visa, get approved, but then you need to change your travel dates? Does that have an effect? Also, I think the actual visa is valid for 10 years, but you can only stay up to 3 months. They are still allowing you to go to the policia federal and extend your trip by another 3 months, so 6 in total per year.

I think the Brazil Evisa is a scam to robbery you, my husband tried 2 times he went through the process upload all the docs, they took the money from our credit but his application disappeared, 2 times 160 dollars no Evisa

Yes you could. Think of it as a similar process to how one would take their own for a passport or go to a local location. The requirements for the visa are - The photograph should be in color and of the size of 2 inch x 2 inch (51mmx51mm). The photo-print should be clear and with a continuous-tone quality. It should have full face, front-view, eyes open. Photo should present full head from top of hair to bottom of chin. Hope this helps!

I'm an American Citizen already in Brazil. I will stay in Brazil past April 10,2024 until about May 15. I wish to extend my stay past the initial 90 days. Question is: When does the Visa start counting my new 90 day period (assuming I'm approved). Will the new 90-day period begin at the end of my initial 90 day period...or... will my new 90 days start the day I am approved? I'd like to do 90 days, not leave the country, and start a new 90 days with the new eVisa I will ideally acquire. Advise? Experience with this?

It doesn't say anything about each person having to have $2000 in their bank account, and being able to prove it, to enter Brazil. This is very discouraging. Traveling with a large group, this is especially going to be discouraging 😐Giving bank information is especially discouraging

The bank statement part of the visa appointment will probably turning off a lot of applicants. Brazil keeps it visa free for US. Passport holders.

I completely understand and it's actually a requirement for other countries but many don't share that so I did. I want anyone watching my videos to feel informed about their destinations regulations and confident when they make travel decisions. exactly my problem. I know im going, but i wont know the exact dates until about a month before i do decide to go. Im planning around my girlfriends schedule and she wont know for a while yet. this is a ridiculous requirement. It should ask for intended travel dates, even the US uses that on their visa application.

Great question. According to the Brazilian governments website, the visa will be reinstated starting from April 10th, 2024 so anyone traveling into the country, no matter when the ticket was purchased, will need to abide by the entry requirements of an evisa at the time of arrival.

I totally agree. Its only in retaliation for when Bolsonaro was president. I wouldn't mind showing my balance in the statement, but I'm not sending my entire bank info statement, especially 3rd party. Id love to see my girlfriends country and family again, but this is ridiculous! My gf hates what Lulas doing also.

what are they possibility going to do with a list of charges, an amount of money that is in your bank account, and the last 4 digits on your card number? The only senstive info is your name and address, but they are probably going to get that anyways since they ask for a visa
