Thanks for the comment, I think it might have been up that high because I was sitting in traffic with the air conditioner full blast. I drove the car for several years after this video without any problems related to the Head gasket. I had an Outback previously that did need a head gasket and my Crosstrek Hybrid also had warped heads after about a hundred thousand miles

@@1empyre1life yup, the warping comes from overheating. Those gauges are never 100% accurate, but for what they read, it should be slightly below the middle at operating temp with the t-stat open. The reason these EJs got a bad rep was because many, many owners overlooked the section in the manual that says the head gaskets have a 130,000 mile service interval. Timing belt at 105,000 means they should be done together since the timing has to come off again to do the HGs. The early FB engines like in your Crosstrek hybrid had a lot of consumption issues, I wonder if the HG gets partially blown and an oil galley bleeds over into the cylinder...I used to work for Subaru but I specialize in the older stuff, belt 4 cylinders & belt and chain 6 cylinders. Never had the "pleasure" of touching an F-series beyond helping time the chains on a buddy's FA WRX-it was through this that we found out the factory service manual has a misprint in the timing section causing the timing to be set 180° out.

​@@matthewcohen9582I beleive the 30th Anniversary Outback developed the Head gasket problem right at 130k miles. The crosstrek is fine after $4,600 in engine work that took 6 weeks to do due to a post-pandemic supposed machine shop back log. It's low on coolant 2 years later and I need to confirm if it's the blue stuff.

@@1empyre1life all F series engines should take the blue coolant. However, that's IF they put it back in when they did the repair. Always good to check. Best way I've come up with is take a strip of printer paper and dip it in the overflow. The white paper will show the color of the coolant after taking it out

I've been running a few cheaper aftermarket ones. That should tell you something. If you don't like doing the job, maybe get OEM as it might last longer. The one made of chinesium broke, but had a warranty and was replaced. I have pre existing issues with airbag light/codes and an intermittent horn that weren't fixed with a new clock spring. The cruise control operation was restored with the initial repair, and has not failed since.

I hear you on that, it's definitely possible but it depends on what direction you want to go with the conversion because it will take a lot of rewiring and Hardware

@@1empyre1life I’m ok with doing the re wiring and hard wiring just don’t know the proper way to reverse the motors to get forward and reverse.

Yes I have this model as well. It also includes a remote control, which is great. The buttons on the fan itself are capacitive touch instead of clicky.

I got mine just the other day for 39.99 at Costco with 10$ instant discount so I paid 29.99 I love it and love the tilt and control but I'm not able to take the front off to clean the blades and that I don't like so I'm gonna return it. I have other Vornado fans that is easy to clean.

@@Videogamerdaryll That's another option. The point here is you get one extra HDMI input using your Xbox one as a media host of sorts. Another option would be to buy a TV or monitor with more HDMI ports.

I don't believe I had to recalibrate my airbag but it's been awhile, and I've done this job twice. I have a light on for my airbag because of squid problems on the right side that I haven't fixed but I think that the airbag on the steering wheel is good. If I remember correctly I had an issue with it initially but that was due to 30 corroded contacts that cleared itself once I cleaned them

Hi, Ronald. That turn signal relay with a knob is for LEDs needs to be purchased (link is in the description, please buy from there if you can!). The location of the factory relay on the Lexus is on the left (driver) side, under the dash, close to the wall. It's difficult to locate and remove, but you can do it!

There very well may be a better way to do it then I did. So if anyone wants to comment on this to weigh in I'm sure it would be appreciated, but thanks for the question!
