That logic might make sense for you but everyone has different goals in life ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I had the money to spend on a car so I did. I have the time to fix the car so I do. If you always think about life in a efficiency mind set then your doomed to only do what you think is the smartest thing. And if that's how you enjoy life then that's great! But I'm trying to experience cars and my new found love of KZbin! So I'm going to do that :)

@@ShawnzeyRacing sure just efficiency and doing the smart thing leads to better outcomes. One thing leads to another and gives you greater success. For instance, very simple, if you'd work on a car with long term value retention and scarcity value you'd be making a great decision and potentially set you up to do even more cars in the future. Not a beater Toyota

Idk where you heard that but it's not true In this case... These cars clean title low mileage go for 50k - 60k. So I imagine mine will sell for 40k or so. Your rule would mean that the repair would cost nearly 200,000 dollars... Which it does not. Your rule may make more sense for cheaper 1000 dollar cars.

If BMWs sounded better they would be one of my favorites. But most BMWs just sound awful. Hopefully this B58 engine changes my mind!

@ShawnzeyRacing I think most car ppl focus on the content more than on music. In my opinion it only distracts. Look at the vids from M539. The way he cuts his vids is similar to yours. But without music. I find it more appealing. Very snappy. And please do us all a favor and keep buying cars we as normal ppl can afford or at least can relate to. Small channels get big, and they end up buying lambos, Ferraris, McLarens and so on. Not as interesting as affordable cars. Keep up the great work and good luck growing your channel. And be transparent with your budget. It's always interesting to see if a project made sense from a financial perspective. And how many views are necessary to justify a build like this. When do you break even, when are you able to make profit... I'm always happy to see a good youtuber make profit and is able to earn a decent income. We are here to support good channels, but don't forget us along the way as you grow. 😉

I appreciate the opinions I really do! I have love for most if not all makes and models. That does include more expensive cars like lambos or what not. I want to experience as many cars as I can even the cheaper ones so I won't leave them behind! And I'll always be up front with how much I spend I got nothing to hide along the way. So far it's been harder then I thought but yes every step I complete in this frame repair has been awesome! I'm also going to learn a lot about body work and paint too as I'm hoping to learn on this too lol.

I didn't buy this car to make a profit or to get it cheap I bought it to challenge myself and to make some KZbin videos! I bought it for the journey and for the fun! It is absolutely much cheaper and easier to not buy a car with this much damage lol

Man so hard to invest in quick jacks when I have the ceiling height for a full sized 2 post... I was planning on getting one recently and insulating my shop for the winter but the supra took all the budget XD now I just need to hope for KZbin channel growth for sponsors in order to afford anything lol

I'll double check but pretty sure all the pieces that I had to remove and reweld on are steel and spot welded. The strut tower is cast aluminum and rivited and screwed to the rest of the pieces

As soon as that frame is welded on we're gonna start flying! I hope anyway XD

It's oddly satisfying watching people build stuff isnt it!? It's the same with me. I can watch people machine parts on a lathe or repair old rusty stuff even though I have no interest in doing it myself! Thanks for watching I'm glad you're here! :)

I did not measure before removing but not a terrible idea. I will be straightening out those side pieces that come off the firewall and then placing the new frame in place and then measuring to make its all straight before welding and panel bond!

We're making progress! The frame definitely made me think about the choices I've made but after getting the frame off it felt great! Huge progress and can't wait to work on the car as much as I can :)

It's a good idea and something to look into. Currently KZbin channel doesn't make any money so I think I'd have to borrow against my personal income. not sure how loans on an LLC work though

I definitely could have sold the parts for scrap price! Something that I did think about but I wasn't to sure it is was worth it. I probably should have seen how much scrap price was and weigh the parts at home but I did not. But a very good point

If by worth it you mean profitably then absolutely not! :) But it's a fun project! I wanted to take on something huge that I've never done before and so far it's turning out that way lol
