Not for my disk back in the day lol incline walking ended up being the worst for me. Everyone’s back situation is different though
@Elimist14 күн бұрын
@@ependa420 unfortunately there isnt an exercise thats universal. 😕 My dad had a herniated disc and walking was one of the few things he could do that helped. Its also been true for the vast majority of my patients in the clinic. But as for anything, if you have pain, you should stop and talk to a doc

Would u be able to use a prescher curl instead or are they the same thing
@Elimist28 күн бұрын
Great question- the preacher curl is not going to put the biceps on as much tension as they will be in this position. Time under load is what is going to make the biceps grow so this exercise can load it more in a stretched position which gets you more activation

Nice movement but ways to improve it if you're strictly targeting your biceps try to remove the rest of your body from the movement like chest supported with a bench or even seated Baysian curls similar to what you're doing but single arm and facing away from the weights
@ElimistАй бұрын
@@seminol.926 youre not wrong, but as a PT, im always interested in hitting more things than just one muscle for the greatest therapeutic effect
@seminol.926Ай бұрын
@Elimist Of course we see 2 different reasons for the movement as a CPT I look for ways to enhance mechanical tension thus overall intensity per session so obviously 2 different intentions Keep at what youre doing brother 🫡

That’s cool but it looks so painful, How do your arms handle that force in that position?
@ElimistАй бұрын
lower weight, this isnt an exercise that I'm up there pulling as much weight as humanly possible. Im focusing on getting a good contraction in my biceps whether that is 10lbs, 20lbs or 30lbs- Im listening to my biceps and when they say its too much I back off

What does this help with
@Elimist8 ай бұрын
Hip flexors: specifically iliospoas which is a muscle that runs from the lumbar spine to the femur. This is designed to help strengthen that muscle. This will help with climbing stairs, hiking, walking, running ext. Basically any movement that requires you to pick that knee up.

These were the most difficult thing to overcome after my knee replacement. Keep it up. It will strengthen after the pain. I did these every night for a month at least , followed up by a massage gun on the outside of the knee for 20 or 30 minutes
