I think I will slip stitch or single crochet the ribbing together first, then start the heel. Once done you would only have to sew the toe seam.

I've tried other 'regular' crochet and knitting loop techniques, but this one is actually easy, even with cotton yarns!! Woo-hoo! Thank you!

I am writing a book for doll clothes using the afghan stitch, I'd like to include your excellent video location in the book, if that's alright with you. Full credit goes to you.

Hello Kim As a young child I taught myself how to crochet and knit because nobody could teach me as mom and sisters were right handed. At 54 I want to learn Tunisian crochet and I love these videos. Thanks 🙏🏻

Wonderful tutorial as always, Kim - you are the most soothing instructor I've ever seen! This is such a lovely lace stitch; I'm definitely going to try it out. I've only tried double-ended Tunisian crochet once, for making stripes, but I hadn't realized how versatile it was. Thank you in particular for showing how to close part of a long row - that is a life-changing technique! I have a set of Denise interchangeable crochet hooks that have two hooks of each size that can be connected with a cable to make any length of double-ended crochet hook. But at some point when working on a very large piece like an afghan, the work can get too heavy and awkward to manage with the weight of all that yarn on the hook / cable at the same time. Now I can finally work on that afghan I've been wanting to make for years! I'll also have to try playing with regular Tunisian crochet stitches using a double-ended hook, to see how they behave together. Mucking about with sticks and strings is always time well-spent! Thank you, Kim! 😊💕

BEST BABY SOCK CROCHET PATTERN ON YOU TUBE!!!!! Especially for beginners. I have tried to crochet sooooo many baby socks and something somewhere in the pattern ALWAYS messes me up, except with this pattern. I am so thankful I finally found a crochet sock tutorial that made 100% sense to me and was so easy to follow. I can not express enough how happy I am that I crocheted a pair of baby socks that look good and I am not going to frog them or throw them away. Thank you for doing this video tutorial!!!!!

Thank you, Kim. I am going to use this to substitute for several rows of broomstick lace before switching to regular double crochet for the remainder of the garment. I don't get along with broomstick lace done with a regular crochet hook. We don't often see mixed Tunisian and regular crochet but I inherited a lovely afghan that mixes the two. I think there are loads of possibilities using the strengths of each technique individually.
