Teenagers and young adults are increasingly getting into relationships. It's almost like a norm in the worldly culture and it's as if they don't want to be left behind. Relationships can be very demanding, irrational, unreasonable. Is this something you want to take on at this phase of life when your own identity and future is still in the formative stage? When you are still figuring out all those surprises life can throw at you? When you really don't know what your independence means? When you are not ready to embrace your vulnerabilities (and blindspots) yet but ready to bear all the unrealistic pressure of looking good, accommodating and pleasing all the time? Teenagers and young adults, do you really want to be spaced out with 'special relationships' when life is testing you against dynamic new realities? When you can be enjoying life and getting to know yourself better? When you can be experiencing an hitherto unknown freedom and the joy of flying solo, discovering your true passions and pursuing your dreams and aspirations? When you can be getting your priorities right to be on top of a God ordained good life? Teenage and young adult years is a period of great transitioning! Don't impose or get imposed upon by another life! Face life before you face relationships! Remember, the lure of relationships (ahead of time) is the devil's favourite playground for destabilizing and destroying youngsters! Nurture and stop with healthy friendships for now. Learn what it means to respect individuals - a foundational requirement sadly missing in many relationships. Also if you can't be a good friend, you can't be a good partner! Remember, "There's a season for every activity under the heavens" (Bible) - for now, enjoy the amazing grace around you and the fullness of your being! The Word of God must be your Iron Dome!😊🙏 Don't make relationships and marriage the center of your life goals and rush into it!😁

bro Sherry, i had attended your session on zoom but did not ask this question bcoz i neither wished to appear contentious nor give the impression that i was opposing you. however, i still would like to hear your opinion on this: I'm sure you are aware of a school of thought that believes that all we need is spiritual 'discernment' (which btw is a gift of the Spirit) and not scientific instruments (logic, rational analytical thinking, etc.) to help us find the right direction in our Christian walk. there is this argument that if we learn to "walk in the Spirit", the Spirit guides us to make the right choices. ppl of this persuasion also believe that the reason many Christians fall is bcoz they are still in the process of 'learning' to walk in the Spirit, yet having not attained. according to them rational believers are capable of the same type of moral failures (e.g. the late Ravi Zacharias) as the hyper emotional types. given this scenario, how do you see it from your perspective?
