How do you know he's high? Is he acting a bit "different"? Yes. But he's always like that in his interviews. I know he has a disability of some sort. I've heard partial deafness. I've heard a learning disability. I will say that he seems more neurologically damaged than he seemed in his youth/confession video. I'm curious if maybe he suffered a severe head injury or TBI when he was in prison.

The question about him regretting not staying at the chicken spot is almost useless. No said they saw him at the park or mentioned him, he was only thought of because he went to the station with his friend. They didn’t question Korey until they realized he was left in the station because his friend didn’t say mom Korey is with me. Korey could have walked out at anytime but those detectives most likely came down stairs saw him and knew they had one. Korey can’t follow the questions

Korey went through hell in prison, and I’m sure that first beating he took and they dragged him off into that room that he was rapped. We only saw a small part of what he went through.

I recently stumbled across Patty (she was scheduled to perform at a local bar in NOLA that I occasionally go to see bands at) Decided to see what type of music she played (thank you KZbin) watched a bunch of her performances and to make a long story shorter, I’m now a fan and supporter of her endeavors. Now, KZbin is constantly recommending posts about Patty which is how I came across your interview. Thank you for putting this out there on KZbin. I really enjoyed your interview with Patty, it’s always interesting getting to know the people who are out there providing us with our music fix. Being able to get a glimpse of how they think, what their interests are and why we should sometimes help them out on the road to make their dreams in life come true. Again, Thank You for providing this insight into Patty and like her, I hope You find Joy and Success in wherever life takes you. 👍🏻🍻😎

Korey Wise's story touched me so bad when i first saw the movie "when they see us" and i couldn't keep it together. everytime i look at the brother, i'm sure moved with love and deep empathy. i can only imagine how awful it is to be imprisoned (I've heard how bad the experience can be, in South African prisons) when you are just a lil' man but, here is a Korey, who did not break... #Life after death. i sure feel the pain, but more than anything i feel the love he shares with us all - through his smile, his words, his presence but most of all... his personality - such an inspiration. love you Korey Wise... all the way from South Africa

This is a nuanced issue. I can understand why people are annoyed that their children are shot. I remember one sniper, shooting from the trunk of his car, caused millions in economic damage in DC area before he was shot. Both of those are very bad. I also worry about government being too powerful and tyrannical. If, in the days of lynching blacks, the blacks had gun access, there would have been fewer lynchings. I used to work for a gun manufacturer and the old guys (my age now) were cool, but some of the young guys were way too caught up in being owners. One guy, a very mild 23 year old engineer, used to put a 45 colt in a shoulder holder and hang out in a mob bar. Kinda an a**hole. I think that the phrasing of the 2nd amendment does not guarantee a right to own so that I can shoot things with a barret and watch the impact. That was not the purpose. The framers wanted gun owners because they wanted a well regulated militia - not so I can have fun. As I said, this is nuanced and there are A**holes on both sides of the issue. People need to LISTEN to each other. That is the American way.

I don't live in the US but I would feel honoured and blessed to meet Korey Wise in person. His insight and good heart is refreshing and confirming that truly Korey was protected during the time he was persecuted. I'm touched by Korey's story. And I admire him for staying in New York and for him knowing where is home. And for his project to heal the less fortunate people. Bless you Korey.

I just watched the whole film I cried straight for hour. My heart aches for what he suffered. I am sorry for your suffering. It is the most powerful example that we as a society need to look at what the fuck we are doing and what is wrong and we need to make solutions on how to improve.

The point of the series was to cloud your judgement with emotions so that when their recorded confessions were released you would DISMISS their own statements about what occurred that night in the park.. You never even knew there were recorded confessions because the 5 fought to keep them sealed..

@ Purple Flower we have to keep in mind that these young individuals are students in the learning process. To refer to them as “idiots” is an insult. A statement I’m certain Mr. Wise, whom you say you love, would agree with. It’s like saying Mr. Wise was an idiot when he went back to the police precinct to check on his friend Yusuf and was caught up in the allegations that imprisoned him. He wasn’t an “idiot”. He was doing what he felt in his heart, as a child, during that time was right. And it is because of him, the other men that make up The Central Park Five were exonerated. Like Oprah, Barbara Walters, Jessica Tan, and Al Roker, it took them years to hone their craft and make it their career. Each of them too made mistakes along the way and conducted ‘not so great’ interviews. They went over their mistakes and perfected areas they felt needed improvement. That’s how we learn and grow as human beings. Through trial and error. These young men and women are future leaders of tomorrow. I wish each of them success as they progress from one stage in life to another. They have shown tremendous respect and appreciation for Mr. Wise, his time in visiting, and speaking with them and the audience about his traumatic experiences. In the video, Mr. Wise was asked the question, “What makes you happy?” He responded, “Y’all.” A powerful and heartfelt response. Being in a room among young and inquisitive strangers , speaking to them and answering their questions, makes him happy. As Mr. Wise stated and great advice to everyone watching, including yourself, “Don’t get caught up in opinions.” Let us not be judge-mental and instead be a part of a solution and a supportive community for society’s youth and the well being of others. Let’s give someone something Mr. Wise didn’t have until much later in life... a strong support system. I applaud these young men and women for their courageous efforts and wanting to become productive members of society. Purple Flower 🌸 it’s said that a purple flower symbolizes success and even royalty, through feelings of admiration. In closing, I wish you success in your endeavors and a prosperous future.
